Maybe some form of swap between Robertson for Colton Ross would work?

They need more cheap depth and Ross has been on the block. Could be something there.

I also think Morgan Frost would be a sneaky good target, but I think the Flyers want to get a little bigger.

Was it not Freidman who posted 4m x 6 first?

Then there is a huge disconnect going on here.

A post suggests Leafs are being warned about offering a long term contract that will lead to LTIR, and someone else suggests a 4 year deal at 6mm.

You can't have it both ways.

4 years isn't a long term contract leading to LTIR.

So, there you have it ... speculation on both sides of equation.

Only question right now, for everyone, should be why no agreement?

Answer should be, because there is nothing to report ... no agreement and no repercussions.

I'm down for Ross

Yep. If they were looking at Bert, Debrusk, etc with McMann and Knies on the roster it send a message to Robertson

currently wingers above him:
Nylander, Marner, Domi, Knies, McMann, potentially Bert (if re-signed), he is not a PKer either so he has no roll on teh team with Holmberg and Raves filling out the 4th line wingers.

Robertson should have been dealt but Keefe made sure we can't slavage any value. Would be hilarious if we deal him to the Devils and Keefe again screws with him LMAO

Would give Debrusk that money over Bert

Me too. Or just a heavier player who can have the impact without all the janky running around. Bert’s alright but he’s more of a Domi level AAV than not.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Tampa throws money at Bert, if Stamkos leaves them.

I don’t think your timelines are following right.

The insiders were all reporting around 4m x 6 yesterday after the trade. The night passed and then Seravelli reports he spoke to the league about it and they reiterated that there are punishments and consequences for circumventing the cap.

The next update we get is the AAV will be around 5m.

We will see, but it feels weird.

He shouldn't, no.

What comes back, Cates?
That could make sense. Torts seems to have no time for Cates. He ended the season as 4LW. He has gone from a strong defensive 3C to a cap dump very quick. He put on ~30lbs. last off-season and I'm wondering if he was out of shape rather than put on muscle.

Would love something around Robertson + for Colton. Wonder if they’d have interest in taking Timmins back? They were pretty high on him at the time and he had some success when healthy there.

Team looking cooked for next season already... Just waiting for the Marner 12.5x8 as the final dagger.

So signing Tanev and Lilly somehow handcuffed us to sign Bert to 5 mil a year?

We do have cap space. Wonder if they just choose Domi . Hopefully we didn’t overpay for Domi

Anyone else want to give one of the unqualified RFA Dmen a try?

Lindkvist, Brannstrom or Addison?

Also super intrigued by zadina and to a lesser extent comtois and steel.
