I'd happily trade Minten. Then the 1st round pick. Then Cowan. They shouldn't trade Danford.

I'm surprised teams aren't asking about Niemela, Robertson, Holmberg, Steeves, our 4th round pick, Hirvonen, Rifai and Grebenkin.

I certainly buy the teams interest in Brayden Schenn.
I can see the whole FO talking themselves into him being the best fit by a wide margin.
They probably like the term - a bird in the hand before JT/MM hit free agency.
Lots of big game experience.
Stanley cup winner.
Big, strong C.
Two way game.
Will hit people, drop em if needed.
Solidifies the third line and can move up in a pinch.
History with Berube.
The reported cost sounds ridiculous, but I can’t see the FO thinking there’s a better fit.

every young player jump in buffalo after krebs.. peterka, benson, quinn, kulich, mcleod finish to take higher spot on buffalo depht chart than Krebs and next year maybe it will be ostlund, helenius. He's struggling just to keep his spot against young player years after years but he should become leafs bottom 6 savior!!!!

The Schenn ask is bananas. He is exactly the type of contract that teams will dump in the offseason for nothing.

I would not trade any of Cowan, Minten, Danford of the 2016 1st for a 3C. Ridiculous price to pay for a role that low in the lineup.

8M x 7Y is his floor IMO. Whether or not that makes sense for us to do that I'm not sure. I'd love him, but that's a big commitment for a guy who is likely to decline sharply early 30s.

Agreed. the time to get him was when Calgary let him go, not now.

With the cap rising, I would think someone will pay him more than 7, although he may be happy just to stay put and take a lower tax free number.

Only worry I have is that Tavares is 80 point player and Bennett is typically around 40 points

Tavares has scored 80 points twice as a Leaf. It's unlikely that he's an 80 point player moving forward. Bennett has the superior playoff production which is where the Leafs fall short.

I like B.Schenn but that rumoured cost is insane. Late 1st + B spect + cap is max I’d do. There’s better (cheaper) options for slightly more cost.

Kyper has been right on quite a few things since Tre has been at the helm. Will be interesting to see who Treliving pivots to if the Schenn price continues to be too high (don't be Laughton)

Anyway, you get those types in free agency or draft them late. We should've picked Artamonov.

So much anger toward Tre and it doesn't even look like he's going to make that trade. People should wait until the end of the season to pass judgement. Even if he doesn't get "your guys" doesn't mean it wasn't the right decision.

I expect Minten over Cowan to be traded. I think Minten is the biggest Prospect/asset that Leafs are dangling imo. Just my 2 cents
