That’s not really saying much lol. Ed Rogers is the dumbass employing the twin idiots who had years to re-sign Vladdy and completely botched it.

MLB I think is one of those sports that you make more for losing in and billionaires can write it off saving them a huge chunk o change. I think that's why the Mavericks NBA (also pays to lose) wanted to cut salary.

You planted a seed of doubt in my mind though. I hope you're wrong lol

Sorry to be negative but outside of 2019 with Masai taking a huge risk and it paying off, the management teams and ownership in this city have made the wrong decisions for the most part. They’re great at making money but results within the teams has been absolute horrific

Agree with you 100%

Just going to add. Teams lose money, the billionaires write it off. The organization value increase year after year. Now that's winning!

The organizations that want to win are huge market like LA Lakers, GSW etc because the merch and TV rights are insane.

Anyone watch Dallas a lot? I was pretty impressed with Harley over the tournament. Nothing special in the tourney but playing D that young in that tournament is tough especially when you come in unexpected.

Not sure how Dallas always does it but they’re just so good at drafting.

Edit: probably should have posted this in the around the league thread. I don’t think he’s on the market lol

Leafs brought in one of the decision makers from the Dallas scouting team in the off-season. Hopefully we can start to reap some of the rewards of that in a few years.

It's been so long since we drafted and developed a quality defenseman that wasn't a top 5 pick I've forgotten it's actually possible

There really hasn't been any since Gunnarsson.

I mean Sandin is a top 4 guy now to be fair to him, on the best team in the NHL. But it wasn't here.

So Elliott Friedman mentions that some gm's would like to reunite the Schenn brothers. You would have to think Treliving is definitely one of those gm's. Both players fit our needs. A 3rd line center and a partner for Rielly.

Treliving won't be able to create enough cap space to make it work. Only way it would work is if you get Armstrong to retain 50% on B. Schenn.

Sounding like Nemec might get kicked out of New Jersey soon. Apparently he's been really bad. It's sad because they could use a forward like Robertson maybe but idk if Keefe or Robertson would like that.

Sandin has been a super solid top 4 D man for Washington this year. We unfortunately just moved on from him to early.

Utah is a team to watch with their RHD.
They just got Durzi back and recently Marino also.
This has now bumped Micheal Kesselring down to the third pairing and he only played 13 minutes last night.
This guy has played very well this season, showing he can do a bit of everything.
6'5, 215lb RHD and only 25 years old.
Some team should acquire him. give him an elevated role and watch him break out.
