Heiskanen doesn't play much more in PK but doesn't mean hes more offensive dman than an all around.

NYI just having pretty good RHD so don't need as much Dobson in this part of the game

Just scouring through Hf Leafs to see some info for tonight’s game but just want to address this.

Tocc/Foote want bigger guys on PK. Hughes plays a ton of minutes so it’s not necessary to have him PK when there’s guys we have that make a living there. Makar’s actual impact on the PK is actually pretty poor and has been since 2023 but Colorado has nobody else they can trust (Malinski, Middleton and Girard are all terrible defensively.

Fox is amazing defensively though and of the 3 is clear of them in that department.

Dobson was already playing over 24 min/game and its actually more than fox. Sometime its just a question and keep Dobson energy in part of specific part of the game and not really about if he can play good pk hockey or not

Leafs ?? #1 ?? Rielly is brutally poor and isn't used on the PK.

Islanders PK is 31st.
Last year Islanders PK was 32nd.

Perhaps part of the deal for Dobson could include a PK defender?

The complication for the Leafs is that I would imagine they would want St. Louis, or a third team, to retain on Schenn's salary, which will cost additional assets.

Toronto actually can fit him in as long as Jarnkrok/hakanpa stay on LTIR with a 20 man roster

Laughton only makes 3 million and you get him for next year also. Very cheap especially with the cap going up. Minten and a higher end draft pick would have to be a part of any trade. Also… they’ve had Minten up with the big club for the whole road trip. It’s very strange. They probably had a feeling a trade was in the works
