I’d honestly rather him if we’re able to afford him anyway
Like-wise. 1st 2026, cowan is probably a starter and I would still be ok adding.

As for a center, idk, a gut feeling but if Bennet gets to UFA i bet Tre is all over that. All that would cost is cap. I'd rather spend assets for a legit partner for Rielly...again (if Tre is not gonna move on from him, that is).

I don't see an available centre that's a good fit for us if we don't want to move Cowan.

I think we need to look at a buyer's regret guy some team might want to dump, but who we believe we can rehabilitate.

Kadri has been mentioned, but I don't think he's the right fit. Maybe a Chandler Stephenson at 7 × $6.25 or maybe the Bruins want to get out from Lindholm's deal of 7 × $7.5 million.

No to Stephenson I’d take flames captain though

Right now our best player had been hurt all seasoning the playoffs last year.
Unless he is healthy our offense takes a huge hit.
Our goaltenders have been great when healthy?
Cowen Minten and Danford should be of limits
Would not be giving up the farm this yr

People taking about trading for Nielsen he was invisible last night.

I'd be all over Trocheck if NYR keep spiraling. Solves our 2C issue for next season, the player has a NMC but that doesn't seem to stop Drury. Very reasonable cap hit also.

Gourde... Will not cost a cowen and fit perfectly well in berube system

working hard on forecheck, pretty hard to play against, team player who will do everything he could/ pay the price to win.

hes not the more spectacular player but what you need is the best complementary piece for what you're team need. I said the same thing about Tanev and OEL signing last off-season, i loved both sign because theyr bring exactly what leafs needed in the defensive end.

Gourde can be that guy as 3C and an amaizing complementary for guy like nylander or marner

If what is happening in Vancouver is to be believed, would love to snag JT Miller.

Love the guys fire and compete and would be a great 2C.

Entirely price dependent and wishing that he was younger than 31 years of course.
Thoughts?

Why does his current team not value that? Because he's the league's new Avery in the clubhouse, a franchise killer.

Come on, he's an ass you stay far away from. Nothing good about him. Our management team is smart enough to stay far away from this clown.

Pretty strong take on a dynamic that no one outside of the team knows is going on.

Where are you getting the Avery comparison from?

Sometimes teammates just don’t get along. I’m sure Vancouver will do everything to placate and keep both, but if not someone may be available between the two.

I would be interested in either but think it would be Miller that may be made available.

I don’t think either moved but it’s an interesting scenario at least.

Beautiful B.C.
Hopefully Tre is calling around and finding pieces with more than just this season on their contract.

Boone Jenner would be an interesting pick up if CBJ made him available when he returns from injury.
