I'd bite someone's hand off for another McMann are you kidding me lol.

1-Kakko played biggest part of season with Cuyle who had 20 5v5 pointS, its more than any leafs player without get a rel better production than mcmann and people think his production would drastically change playing alongside Marner, Matthews, Nylander and whatever.

2- Since hes in the NHL, he didn't really developped. Its the same exact thing than a Puljujarvi. All the value fan here giving up to Kakko is the fact hes a former #2 and hope he finally get a miraculous break out season. But like it was the case with puljujarvi, that will not happen.

3- Kakko doesn't look like a team player when it will be time to pay the price for his team and teammate, do anyone here really think Kakko will doing it more than a Mcmann who's just so happy to be here and play with the team?!?!?!?! It's the reason i would stay far away of this guy.

kakko last 3 season produced at a rate of 17 goal and 35 pts/ season( so including his 40 pts season and last 2 worst)

Mcmann last 2 22 goal and 34 pts pace...

hes younger okay but doesn't mean he will develop in something necessairly better and outside of age, he bring nothing more and the way he react and what he said by telling hes not the worst, for me that's a red flag. You can be mad of being healthy scratch but attacking your own teammate by saying some player are worst, that's pretty pathetic and why eve a1v1 mcmann vs kakko trade, i would not do it.

Ps 28 is clearly not the age player declining...
You might want to educate yourself on this one. Multiple studies and data have shown a decline after 28. I love what McMann brings to the table, but I doubt many would project that McMann will be a better player than Kakko for the next five years. Kakko will likely end up with double the points of McMann over that period.

Kaako talking with the media after his benching said there were other players that played well as him.
It's only because he is young and not a veteran , that is why he got benched.
Try going back into the dressing after that one.
Ya a hard papa on him.

Josh Anderson would be a good wing for us bring a heavy player on the right side he’s mcmannish maybe with some motivation
If Montreal was willing to retain 2 million on Anderson’s contract, I’d be interested.

McMann - Domi - Anderson would be interesting.

Depending on the retention, I wouldn't mind Josh Anderson either but we have a more glaring need for a center first. Not to mention the arm and leg you would have to pay being a rival team. I dont see it

Scott Laughton to me is still the most logical trade candidate to be a leaf in a few months imo

Who care where Kakko will be in 5 year??? he will probably already being in his 3 or 4 team in 5 year, those kind of player are pretty easy to find on market, Puljujarvi is a pretty good exemple.

What's matter for the leafs is right now...

I know you got to do something as a coach when you’re losing games, but I think it’s just easy to pick a young guy and boot him out. That’s how I feel, to be honest.”

"Haven’t been on the ice too much when [opponents] score a goal," Kakko said of his own performance this season. "...I have not been the worst guy, but that was me out of the lineup.”

Its kind of thing you can think, talk to your coach to see why its happened and whatever but you can't do say something like that because you're furious and mad... That's doesn't send a good message against your coach and some people of your team and that will clearly don't help the team spirit in anything.

You think Kakko is a Puljujarvi?

Look, like I said, I like McMann... he's got 9 points. Kakko has 14.

McMann has 34 career points. 34. Kakko has 131.

Kakko will have end up with around 35-40 points this year, and around 200 over the next five years.
McMann will end up with maybe 30 points this year, and probably around 100 over the next five years, if he's still in the league.

McMann isn't as good as Kakko now, and over the next five years it won't be close. I can only hope there is a language barrier in this conversation, as this is a REALLY weird comparison, and claim that you'd rather have McMann both now, and into the future...

You want a long-term impact partner for Rielly. NYR are imploding right now... pick up the phone and ask them what Schneider would cost. We might not like the answer, but it's just a phone call.

How about a cheap option for a potential 3C? Peyton Krebs. His offense hasn't come around like his draft expectation would be, but I think this is a near 30 point guy, who is good on faceoffs, being used heavily defensively and when he's on the ice, they are outscoring the opposition on a bad team, despite 66% Dzone faceoff starts. He's only 24, and on a cheap contract. Buffalo is looking for a shakeup, why not call them and find out their ask.
