I don’t think they are moving him but I’d definitely be interested.
Is never going to live up to his draft position but can be a damn fine 3rd liner

I'm pretty sure he's been on and off their trade block for awhile. They might value him decently because of his draft pedigree but I don't think he's untouchable at all. They've also lost 10 out of their last 13 games.

I don't think we're good trading partners but I think he'd be a good fit for us.

Robertson looks so much better when he has a play making C like he did last night with Domi. Problem is, I don’t think Domi is a long term fit at C. I still think Granlund would be an incredible boost to the offence. Robertson-Granlund-Nylander could be a 90 goal line, 3rd line.

Knies — Matthews - Domi
Patches - Tavares - Marner
Robertson- Granlund - Nylander
Lorentz - Minten/Holmberg - McMann

Reaves, Jarnkrok, Kampf waived/traded.

I've been amongst the biggest Robertson fans up until this year... but let's pump the brakes a little. He had one good game, and needs to back it up a little more than that, for us to gift him a roster spot the rest of the year... in particular given you've banished McMann to the fourth line. To me, it was McMann who drove that line last night, and was really making things happen.

Rangers have royally sucked in the first rounds with guys like Lias Anderson, Kravtsov, Kakko and even Lefrenierre who looked good last year but has largely been very underwhelming.

In the fantasy world of Granlund.
Not sure I support the proposed line-up, but to play along ...

Knies - Matthews - Domi
Pacioretty (1) - Tavares - Marner
McMann - Granlund - Nylander
Lorentz - Minten - Holmberg

Robertson in the deal for Granlund ...

Reaves, Jarnkrok, Kampf waived/traded ... more fantasy Cap manipulations.

1. Healthy Patches might be an apt pseudonym.

Considering the Robertson - Domi - McMann line worked, why change it.

I think the key player on the line is McMann, not saying the best, saying key. He skates, has size, hands, and courage.

Personally i would prefer Gourde to granlund and get something like

Mcmann-Matthews-Domi
Pacioretty-tavares-Nylander
Knies-Gourde-Marner

Personally i prefer someone with more grit especially in playoff because the way you score in playoff is by winning your battle, driving the net and fiving up everything you have and i not sure you will get it with Granlund.

Boy, has Shane Wright ever come alive in the last five games. Six points in his last five games.

Dickinson is interesting as well. At least he has a contract next year, and wouldn't be a pure rental.

Noting, I wanted the Leafs to move Marner last year... and while he's been excellent, and the team MVP, my suggested trade was to Seattle, for Bjorkstrand, Wright and 1st. I would have drafted Sam Dickinson, Wright as mentioned above is starting to click, Bjork has 22 points in 30 games, Dickinson has 48 points in 28 games, and we would have had nearly $10 mil in extra cap space to upgrade the roster... whether that would be Matt Roy, plus an additional $4 mil forward.

Kunin could be a good under the radar pickup. UFA with 8 even strength goals, RHC, physical.

On pace for a career year I think, or at least match his best season from when he was with Minny. He is shooting 17%, which seems high for him.

I also think he'd be a sneaky good pickup and he'd check off some needs. He's a little expensive (2.75M) for his role though.

I think all lines need JT max and willy stapled to one line and Domi and Matthews stapled on another without Marner on it.

Everything else can be figured out. Marner dominates when he's not deferring

Nicky Bobby has had several great games this year, where he's in the corners, dogged on the forecheck and able to find the space to get his shot off. Then he goes back to being a passenger with bad body language who has to fight for every inch of space.

But he needs to do it more than one in every six games. Credit to him, he bet on himself at the start which is a ballsy move, and it hasn't really panned out for him, but he's still out there trying.

You're obviously not expecting him to come out like last night every game, that would make him a PPG star, but he has to kick it up to maybe one in three to keep his spot. He can but will he?

Anybody think they should be sniffing around Kakko? 1x2.4, big body, left shot, can play some C and producing somewhat (29-4-10-14), I wouldn't give the farm for him and his development hasn't been excellent, but what kind of favorable usage have the Rags been giving him?

I'd do Niemela, Kampf and the 2026 3rd, for him and a 2025 5th, could be a low risk medium reward move.

59.9% shifts started on the fly, 15.6% ozone, 18.6% neutral, 5.9% dzone. He's got some of the lighter Dzone starts on the team... with Panarin, Laf and Fox being the only ones with less... noting Laf is -13 despite this.

+10 on a minus team, with 14 points in 13:23 ice time a game... 12 points 5v5.

I think they'd want more for him, than that, and probably someone out there is willing to pay more, based on draft position... but I do think he'd make an excellent LT 3rd line piece.

Wont get him for that.

It's weird seeing Timothy Liljegren slightly lag behind his career average, despite being freed and let loose. On pace for about 23 or 24 points. Shades of Sam Lafferty.

The SJ board seem pretty happy with him, been solid middle pair for them and helping Ferraro turn his season around apparently

I hope he goes on to be successful, it definitely wasn't going to happen here and it's always good to see guys we drafted and developed succeed, even somewhere else

Panthers made an under-the-radar move last year to grab Tarasenko retained for a few minor assets.

Once the Leafs shore up the C position, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Leafs move a 3rd/4th + a prospect like Steeves/Hirvonen for Taylor Hall (50% retained).

Hakanpaa + Jarnkrok likely to be on LTIR. Reaves on waivers. Kampf potentially moved. There's lots of cap space too be had.

He’s playing for a way worst team he’d have way more on our team for sure he’s a good passer and has a decent shot I think would be second best on the team after oel

We mismanage D development regularly in Toronto. Everyone knows it. When did we develop a top 2 D? Kaberle?
