Cap wise it would be very tough unless we moved Rielly out for a 5M top 4D and Woll for a picks and signing a 1.5M backup giving us 14M to add those 4 pieces

All in all, I can conceed this level of trades and cap management is more than Trelivomg_Shammy would ever do. Too many risks and unknowms so we likely go for safer options at the TDL

On the one hand, I really can't see us making a massive splash for Brock Nelson, Rant, Boeser.

Donato, Murphy, Beau, etc.

On the other hand, this is Shanahans last chance. They have to do something. No deep run, no Shanahan. Plain and simple.

I look at it this way.
Leafs doing well in playoffs with trades or not will keep Shanny’s job. As he will sell it as the program is finally making progress…
Leafs crashed in playoffs with and without trades will keep Shanny’s job bc he will sell it as, with MM and JT off the books, I can rebuild the team as he learned his lessons….

Which is more likely, Leafs doing well in playoffs or Leafs crashing out. History points to the latter.
That’s why Shanny is preparing for it by instructing Tre not to trade picks and prospects as it is easier for them to retool.

Just traded 2 players for Kunin which is a little rich, Crouse is no longer the player you may have thought he was, in fact he may be logging 4th line minutes soon so both of those deal are overpaid

The first deal looks good but I'd much rather offer the 1st and Domi and keep Minten
