Tre and Shanny are too busy.

He has the best playoff sv% in the history of the NHL yet he's never won a series.

The conversation has been going on since the off-season. No one can name a team that he would waive to go to that would also take him for free.
No but a real serious one. Like officially serious.

You get the best season in your franchise's history from your star player(and close to another one with Nylander) and the big adds you make are Lybushkin and Edmundson.

Not good enough.
Despite these "best seasons", we still only finished 3rd in the division behind Florida and Boston and we still lost in the 1st round to a Boston team that was crushed by Florida later on. Add to that Brad did not have a lot of assets to work with given how many time Dubas went "all-in" at the trade deadline.

Not saying that Brad is not a poor GM, but I wouldn't blame him to not have gone 'all-in' last year

The Leafs are trying to balance out their top 9 by putting Holmberg there. McMann and Robertson would easily be our best players there. Pacioretty showed real promise but his health is awful. He's dealing with back spasms right now.

2LW is not an issue at all. When your 3rd best centers are Domi and Kampf, it's quite easily the biggest problem this team has.
Bjugstad a scoring winger and one of Ferraro or risto would be juicy. Just two of the three would do real nice.

Friedman insinuates that Toronto is aware of what Tampa and Florida have been doing so...I guess our front office is preparing to load up too.

i'd consider a retained Trouba ...he may have more in his tank, and value should be really low considering the poor production, so, retention should be expected.

The Leafs last year were actually playing really well - they had a 102 point standing with Samsonov being horrible.

It's not even about going all in, it's about getting an impact player when the roster obviously needs one. I'd happily take a top 9 player last year, that wouldn't be an all in price but it would have done wonders for the team.

Goalies have limited value, you have to be able to capitalize at the right time or you miss out on good assets.

Running a tandem next year risks us losing Stolarz next summer if we dont give him an extension early tmnext season.

Having 2 good goalies doesnt help us much as only 1 can play at a time.

We should be proactive and use either to add assets which can fix up the some of the flaws on this team.

If Woll gets a 1st or 2 2nds this summer it would be smart to move him and committ 5-6M to Stolarz and then add a backup for 2M or so.

You sure you ain't quasimodo my friend?

Personally id rather have a quality 1B than the pick given what the Leafs are trying to do over the next few seasons.
