This is the best our organization could unearth as a list after tire kicking all season? It is pretty disappointing.

I tend to agree, Schenn is an expiring asset and the asking price is ludicrous.

Laughton I think we can swing when going gets tough with a 2nd and a decent prospect (Niemela, Gerbo).

We need to get a Middle 6 forward (ideally centre) and a bottom 6 winger (Tanev).

There are very few players whom I'd consider adding Knies in a package for. At this point we're playing at the top end of the league, and well beyond pending free agents.

All the reasons you stated are exactly why other teams will give up valuable assets to get him. You have to give up value to get value back. Knies is probably our best trade asset in hopes of get a Top 4 RHD back.

Knies is RFA next year and at this point, given how much cap space is already allocated to offense, he might be a luxury we can't afford.

That you’ve listed multiple playoff teams as sellers should be your first clue. If it has to be explained to you beyond that, it’s already too late.

It might not be those names, but that’s about the level for sure. I do think it will be a C and not a winger though. Schenn worked well with Mo in the past, here’s hoping that can still work.

This trade can always be revamped, thats called being progressive you should learn it brother....we could always add to the deal or replace Hirvonen with Minten or Timmins for Niemela.

The Gallagher deal, he's injury prone and even at 50% retention Domi's only 500k more, they also add depth in Dewar and a 2nd round...again fair value for a team rebuilding

Marchand, we dont know how long he's out...so the retention might not be needed, regardless if he's out until the playoffs Boston is losing out on assets that they most definitely could use....and still have Brad sign in the off-season so again not realistic, Nyquist 50% retained got a 2nd

Plus they get a solid prospect in Abruzzese and Jarnkrok...sorry but any team calling about him will be offering the same deal
With his injury i cant see a team giving up a 1st round, prospect and a roster player with skill on a good deal sorry but that's not going to happen.

Gudas for a 2nd round, 4th and Myers or Timmins again post your counter offer?

Laughton or Hathaway for a 3rd, Quillan and Reaves....pre damn close in value, might have to add a late pick for Laughton's second year of term but again fair value.

Tanev wont get anything under a 3rd round pick.
