Unfortunately...with his injury list at this point, and concerns that some of them may be "never the same again" type of ailments...The only way they're getting any substantial "value" back for him is if there's a bad contract goalie coming back the other way. And even that is hard to put together. The biggest hurdle is...when healthy and on his game, he's still a potential gamebreaker, top-5 netminder. But the likelihood of that, or the plausibility of that lasting or hitting at the right time (ie. playoffs) is just so slim. I think it basically corners the Canucks into holding onto him and see what happens - fingers crossed for better health. The upside of that unlikely event is just so much greater than anything that anyone else would realistically offer at this point. So...another year of Demko roulette...ride or die.
