Wow moose has a .838 save percentage lately? I don't even know what to say to that. Won't win many with that.
 
Who would we even sell, Zidlicky? That's one way of solving the eight-D merry go round. We don't have expendable FA's other than Zidlicky.
 
With the injury bug at this point in the season I don't think we're QUITE a selling team yet. With Marty out we have a serious lack of leadership on the ice, not to mention a great puck moving goalie who's ability to create offensive breakouts is sorely missed. I think one of the moves we need to make is to take the C off Salvador, he clearly isn't a good captain and he seems to be buckling under the pressure. As far as the trade deadline goes, I think Lou should stick with what he's got unless a great move is there. This team is solid when healthy and actually producing, a new face won't help unless its a top 10 winger which won't happen.
 
Clarkson could get us some value, especially from a team like Toronto. What's the opinion? Are we willing to give him 4 million and is it worth the risk of him walking for nothing?

i can't see us trading clarkson, nor would i want to. hes not the best skater, fighter, shooter, playmaker. but his just above average skills in all those spots is too good to let go.

he can play any role needed on a givin night. Plus he is our Hartnell, a player that means more to us then anyone else would want to give up for him.
 
He's one of the leaders in the locker room as well. Not to mention off the ice with Clarkie's Kids and the Hockey in Newark he's been doing. He's just a quality person to have on the team.
 
I am not an expert on player valuation, but after contemplating the situation and the roster IMO We need good youth going forward. I don't like the idea of trading Clarkson but he may be the best opportunity we have to upgrade.

Couple that 2nd with a prospect for a high first rounder this coming year?

All I want to know is if this is a possibility if they so chose to make a maneuver of this sort.
 
The Devils are playing woefully below expectations and fans have gone off the deep end talking about becoming sellers (while still in a playoff spot no less). Is this real life?

I really really hope we can all just laugh about this in a couple of weeks.
 
The term "act like you have been there before" applies to both when you are winning and when you are losing. Best advice I can give to everyone here lol.
 
Kostopoulos will bring us the cup. But in all seriousness, nothing they do will help when our current stars aren't doing crap.

I don't think so.

Right now, we definitely aren't buyers. You don't give up the assets for a top six forward, like some people think we need, in the midst of a losing streak like this.

Right now, we just have to just keep pushing on with what we have, and see if we can turn it around. THEN, maybe will we add another forward.

If we do become sellers, Lou should try to package of Zidlicky and Tallinder and bring up Urbom or Gelinas to get a few games.
