Bergevin picked up Kovalchuk and Scandella mid-season for nothing and managed to turn them into a 2nd and a 3rd.
Great asset management there.
Ability to retain money certainly helps a bit. If the Sens were willing to pick up some cash on our junk we could ask for more in return.
YES. Anywhere, anytime!Names for 4th and Joseph from TB. Some TB fan posted that on the main board. I'd do that in a heartbeat.
Jost + conditional 2021 2nd for JGP?
Becomes a 1st if he extends.

50% of basically nothing
like I said via Lebrun about 75kKovalchuk's salary with 50% retained is 350K
Given that there's 1/4 of the season left, Caps don't even have to pay him 6 figures the rest of the way
Pretty sure we're going to need to do that with Pageau if the main contenders for him are Edmonton and Philly.
Either that or take on a cap dump for the rest of the year.
Hoping that Ott/Car can pull off this type of trade:
To Car: Anderson, Namestnikov, 3rd pick
To Ott: 2020 First Round Pick (specifically Toronto’s first rounder).

Absolutely no offense meant to the Dorion supporters but... let's go Pierre ... It's show time
See this is how its done... You move him ... and say its your intention to try to sign him.. voila
Where in the hell is the value for a 1st round pick.
I'd really prefer not to be the team people are saying 'that's all they got for pageau' tomorrow.
