A lot of who is available is dependent on how teams play up until the deadline. If Vancouver has problems scoring will they move Kassian +? Same for LA? Detroit? PHX?
Well being we rarely if ever get info from Slats, I was really commenting on Gordon addressing media on his first day when Glen is out.
But...Seems pretty telling that by his comments they are going for it now. Rangers are the tied for 8th or 6 th or however you want to look at it. Lets face it...If they lost those last two games against two teams they are fighting for positioning with they would have been 4 points out of a playoffs spot with when 8 games to go before the deadline? At that point are they playing for the now or playing for the future?
Gorton told Custance that the Rangers will be aggressive as the trade deadline approaches because they are “always trying to get something that’s going to put us over the top.â€
I doubt they move Hanzel
How is the bolded part new or news? Isn't every team?
I guess I didn't really decimate any information. Sounds like they're doing their jobs.
Again, what I took away was they are going to be active talking to teams about something to make the team better. No real news there. Every GM does that. And the fact that they're 8th shows that the team is missing something. Again, not really news.
Yeah, I guess he's their best center, even though he'd be a strong middle 6 center on a good team. 40 goals might appeal to them though, who knows.
I really like Boedker. Gormley would be amazing.
some fan posted this

They have some money to play with. They wanted Whitney. They have problems bringing in UFA's and they have a good defense and a bunch of secondary scoring. Lots of good defensive prospects as well. Maybe the Rangers can snag Gormley after all this time? Gormley + Boedker +?
how about Gaborik to Hawks for Andrew Shaw, Kruger, Jeremy Morin and first in 2013??
I think they will be aggressive but won't move any of the young guys so really what's left? Maybe gaborik or mdz is about it and only if it makes senselisten detective, when the active GM states that they are going to be aggressive at trade deadline to make over the top moves i think it means something.
to me it dispels the the thoughts that they are going to sit tight or just make lateral moves...

Ever hear Glen Sather say that?
Ever hear Glen Sather say that?
Ever hear Glen Sather say anything? Really, do you think if Craig Sustance approached Glen Sather to speak he'd say anything? The most we've heard Glen Sather say about anything in the last two years is when he went on about how great the golf courses at Tri-City are.
I think it's pretty obvious what Gorton meant. As with every team, the Rangers will explore every possibility and leave no stone unturned. With all that, they'll look to actually follow through with one, MAYBE two moves if it's for the right price, makes the team stronger, and doesn't disrupt the foundation of the team.
That he's always looking to improve the team?. I sure I have.

Which is why I posted the comment on Gordon. 1 day and he's divulging info. Info Glen would never do. Get it? ... or are you wound too tight for that?
