St. Louis is peeking in the windows of a playoff spot so Binnington is staying put. Talbot won’t return, Mrazek is washed, I imagine Soderblom is Chicago’s future goalie so I don’t see a whole ton of options.

Chicago just got Spencer Knight so Soderblom may be possible, so is Anton Forsberg, maybe UPL, Jonathan Quick, Merilainen if Ottawa is willing to give him up, James Reimer, and Skinner for Lyon might be doable?

Yeah, they aren't starters but they're actual NHL goalies who are outperforming our tandem behind worse defensive teams (based on GSAx). Watch any of them steal the net from our AHL duo. Will they be Vezina candidates? No, but they will definitely look like Vezina candidates compared to those two bums.

Skinner has been regressing each of the last two seasons, so his youth is no guarantee that he'll get better with age. He imploded in three out of six playoff series, basically cost us a Cup in 2023, and will only collapse more now that the D can't protect him. He's been under .900 in his last five games and looks way too slow to survive in this league. He's clearly not good enough to be the starter, his GSAx puts him at a level equal to a below average backup, and I'm not convinced he'd even keep a backup job on any of the 31 other teams. Now is the time to trade him.

He's overweight and can't do the splits. Moves post to post like the Titanic avoiding an iceberg.

Other than that, a truly fine goalie in the modern game /s
