Crawford is at least as good as the best we've had here since Roloson. Niemi wasn't too great but they won with him.

Trotz has gone full Pejorative Slur. Signs Novak 2 days ago to a 3 yr extention then trades him with schen for an injured old and more expensive Bunting and a 4th. I guess we should be thankful Trotz is not our GM.

How the f*** do the Oilers not trade their 1st for Gibson retained at $3.6? That's only a million more than Skinner makes, and people were already talking like Stu was going to get a raise on his next deal...though I have a feeling his next deal will be in Europe, just like Koskinen.
Gibson has injury risk, play regressing to where it was the last 5 years risk, and apparently no one else thinks he is worth a 1st. So no, I probably wouldn't pay a 1st since we would probably need to move Stu too in order to make it work capwise. He's only 26 and has valuable experience, he shouldn't just be a throw in imo.
If we could dump them Arvidsson instead of Stu, then I do it and pick up Donato for the top 6.

McDavid’s not having a good season like he’s accustomed to. Draisaitl’s been the MVP of the league and is the biggest reason why this team isn’t below .500. But yeah, let’s blame his ass for a turnover instead of blaming our shit goalies. Oilers media are spineless weasels.
Skinner has been regressing each of the last two seasons, so his youth is no guarantee that he'll get better with age. He imploded in three out of six playoff series, basically cost us a Cup in 2023, and will only collapse more now that the D can't protect him. He's been under .900 in his last five games and looks way too slow to survive in this league. He's clearly not good enough to be the starter, his GSAx puts him at a level equal to a below average backup, and I'm not convinced he'd even keep a backup job on any of the 31 other teams. Now is the time to trade him.

Out of all of my years of watching Oilers hockey, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a goalie play as poorly as Skinner while being vehemently defended by the media.

To Staples' credit, he's saying goaltending is the issue.
Although funny enough there are media people who blame the fans on social media for putting extra pressure on goalies, and that's why they're bad.
It's like a bad dream. My only hope is that the marching orders to the media are just to set the table on getting that goalie.
