The Oilers can't say they want to upgrade in net, especially in the local media. I think people are overreacting to the words of Stauffer. It's so obvious that we need a goalie it will obviously happen imo
In fairness to Campbell
A) If the Oilers lose that one game he came in relief for, they are eliminated in round 1 by the Kings and the entire franchise trajectory is different. He bailed Skinner's ass out.
B) At the start of the 2023-24 season, Skinner sucked just as bad or even worse to start.
C) Campbell has a drinking problem. What's Stu's excuse?

Other teams goalies made a save that I would have heard each and every oilers media guy especially Louie DeBrusk say “Skinner/Pickard had no chance on that, and the Oilers have to dig in defensively.” What a f***ing joke.
Any goal that goes in on our sieves has an excuse or gets blamed elsewhere but the sieves. f*** the media.

It's become such a broken record every game now. Team scores the first goal. Goalie allows a weak goal. Team gets fragile, loses it and we see a few more go in. Game is over before the next period

I can’t blame the team either. If your goalie is so shit, of course they’d be fragile cause they know they can’t rely on the goalies to do their f***ing jobs and keep the puck out consistently. No new Dman is gonna help this team more than an actual new goalie. The management have until Friday to figure it out. If they don’t, kiss the cup goodbye and to another wasted year of McDrai. Get a f***ing goalie.

I'd trade just about anything for a good goalie at this point. Getting sick and tired of seeing 2+ weak as shit goals go in every night.
Yeah the team is playing like shit right now, but this is just the accumulation of having to play behind all year long. They picked the goalies up all year going into the break, and lost a lot of games earlier in the year that they shouldn't have because of atrocious goaltending. It's tiring. The players look exhausted and disinterested to put in the effort in front of these goalies knowing full well they're going to be playing with a -2 goal handicap even on nights where they play flawlessly.
