Still wouldn't be shocked to see Kane traded. Best case scenario is Kane comes back with something to prove, so shopping him serves two purposes anyway.
Delaying treatment made cap cheating possible, but it also allowed the Oilers to punt decisions until Kane's modified NTC, and it gave everyone a mental reset-- there was signs Kane had worn out his welcome imo, which has been his MO.
