A player that was on waivers?Like I said for the D, I'd look at Valimaki, think he could replace some of what we lost in Broberg and is only about 2 years older.
If we are stuck going into the Playoffs with Skinner and Picard let's hope that Frederic was the 4c and we still add a playable D man and Drai winger.I can’t rejoice knowing we’re potentially going into the post season with our tandem staying the way it is lol…
Do the Blues want to move him tho when they are right in the thick of the race?I think the Oilers are still looking at Binnington. Connor probably wants him and if he really wants something I suspect the Oilers are apt to try and make it happen. Skinner for Binner @50% retained + 1st I think would more or less work. Blues have been playing Hofer more actually, but Skinner as a 1B likely is OK for them too because he can at least play and keep them in a playoff hunt.
At what cost. Bobrovsky is close to retiring and Knight was their goalie of the future.Florida wins the cup and still goes aggressive for a top pairing D in Seth Jones.
Frederic and some bottom pairing D are all the Oilers going to add?
I think that’s the oilers managements plan. They don’t see any upgrades over our current tandem (L o f***ing L ) so they’re gonna shore up the other holes and hope that’s enough to cover the goalies which is zzzzz….If we are stuck going into the Playoffs with Skinner and Picard let's hope that Frederic was the 4c and we still add a playable D man and Drai winger.
*If* we are stuck with questionable goalies we want the roster as strong was possible
At some point tho you need to go for it during your window. At what cost. Bobrovsky is close to retiring and Knight was their goalie of the future.
Why would the Blues trade him? They have a chance at making the playoffs this year and could be trending up next year.I feel like it's going in this direction too.
Similar to Team Canada, the Oilers have targeted veteran players that have been around the block before. For the most part, we have that in every position except net. Binnington is the only guy available that checks that box.
I mean yup, but not behind this team, and again, you move on from Stu.How is it worth the gamble? The guy is sieve right now and posts a .834 save percentage in the playoffs.
Time to set the anxiety aside and wait and see. Bowman should be more aggressive than Holland anywaysGuys I know what everyone is going to say but maybe we retained so much on Frederic because we know we can use the rest of our cap space to get a Dman or more help now? Maybe the team knows Kane is getting traded or staying on LTIR.
Stauffer is fully expecting Bowman to not be done
Or maybe it's just you? It's only Tuesday dude, and you're claiming the sky is falling. Chillax a bit and let's see what happens, hey?Management simps be simping.
Not hard to get a starting goalie. The Oilers just have too much belief in someone who has been proven to not work 2 times going to 3 timesAt what cost. Bobrovsky is close to retiring and Knight was their goalie of the future.
Highly doubt this. Unfortunately, Broberg and Holloway have breathed new life into that team, as well as the resurgence of Parayko. Thomas and Kyrou are still young enough, and they have a strong prospect pool- they're pretty close to being an annual playoff contender if they shed some dead weight. No reason for them to move Binnington.I think the Oilers are still looking at Binnington. As much as people don’t want to believe it there very likely is a market for Kane.Guys I know what everyone is going to say but maybe we retained so much on Frederic because we know we can use the rest of our cap space to get a Dman or more help now? Maybe the team knows Kane is getting traded or staying on LTIR.

I think there's been some pedestrians on the bench lately. The coach not being one of them.I've actually been one of the more optimistic people here today, but you have to be smoking something fierce and pounding back all the Kool-Aid to think our coaching has been getting it done lately...
Welp gg to a goalie trade

Edit - add in a #1 goalie that is suffering from havingkiditis....well, it surely doesn't help. Remember Talbot? He was great until he had the twins.
Kane is gone. Cap reasons, and he's not a Knob type player to begin with, defensively irresponsible. The double retention makes it pretty clear they plan to use his salary for help at D/F.Guys I know what everyone is going to say but maybe we retained so much on Frederic because we know we can use the rest of our cap space to get a Dman or more help now?
