As a depth add if nothing else is available for cheap, Jusso Valilmaki @50% is someone I'd have time for.

He had better/comparable AHL numbers to Broberg and a 34 point campaign a couple of years ago. Still young, looks like he's fallen out of favor in Utah.

Utah waived him, so he can't be worth that much to them, we'd be paying for the retention basically which shouldn't be a huge amount.

Yup, but again, Sharks, Plus it frees the Oilers up to either re-sign him or go hunting for Aiden Hill in the offseason (pending UFA)

yeah I know the sharks are bad, but unlike Blackwood who had underlying good numbers on the sharks before getting traded, vitek is the opposite. I’d personally pass

I think the Oilers are still looking at Binnington. Connor probably wants him and if he really wants something I suspect the Oilers are apt to try and make it happen. Skinner for Binner @50% retained + 1st I think would more or less work. Blues have been playing Hofer more actually, but Skinner as a 1B likely is OK for them too because he can at least play and keep them in a playoff hunt.

Trust me, Stu is bad, probably AHL-bad, and this guy is somehow worse.

Hard f***-no goalies include Vitanek, Jarry, Mrazek, 4Giev, and Grubauer.

If Vitek had the same or around the same numbers as Blackwood on the sharks, I’d agree. But a guy with worse numbers than both skinner and Pickard is a gamble that’s 100% an easy L.

it's frustrating that we signed a winger that seemingly won't even get into the lineup until playoffs. That's gonig to throw chemistry and balance off for sure, especially with the kane factor, too. I like the player, but why are we giving up so much for not even a single regular season game so the coaching staff can figure out where he fits before playoffs start?

How is it worth the gamble? The guy is sieve right now and posts a .834 save percentage in the playoffs.
