Trade 1: Boston Bruins trade Trent Frederic (50% salary retained) to New Jersey Devils in exchange for unsigned draft choice Petr Hauser.

Trade 2: New Jersey trades Trent Frederic (50% salary retained) to Edmonton in exchange for unsigned draft choice Shane Lachance.

Trade 3: Boston trades Max Jones and unsigned draft choice Petr Hauser to Edmonton in exchange for Max Wanner, St. Louis' second-round pick in 2025 (owned by Edmonton) and Edmonton's own fourth-round selection in 2026.

Seems like an overpay to me. 2nd, 4th and Wanner for a non retained Frederic? (Err missed that its a double retention).

Why give a prospect to retain? Why not a 5th like every other team?

Well that's a lot of moving parts, but they get Frederic at 25% on the cap, for a 2025 2nd, 2026 4th, Max Wanner and the rights to Shane Lachance (who is unsigned, I wonder if you were right about not signing @Canovin)

Edit and Max Jones too.

There were rumours of Oilers trying to sign Lachance. Must have not wanted to sign with the Oilers hence the trade.

So we turned Broberg into Frederic, Jones and Hauser. That 2nd was probably our biggest trade chip for this year so hopefully Frederic really helps us in the playoffs.

We also gave up Wanner and Lachance.

Sorry for the late reply here. Yes your right. Watched as much video as i could easily find. Perhaps my statement was overly optimistic.
Spenser when he is patient is very good.....except sometimes he moves too fast. Weird but true he over anticipates. Patience is a learning process and with goalies something once learned needs to be practiced alot. I will rephrase my statement to ...I think that in a couple of years Spenser has the potential to be an elite goalie with upwards of a .920 SP but will likely need a premier goalie coach to keep him patient ongoing and teach him to use his athleticism within a certain structure. However all the necessary parts are there.

Does somebody on here keep an archive of all the games that are telecast or knows someone that does? Do we have access to this years games for all teams somewhere?

TBH goaltending would help the defence, our biggest need is a winger for Leon.

If we get a winger for Leon this Frederic trade will be Amazing. If he is our ONLY addition up front then it's pretty blah
