this place will literally melt downNarrator: They didn't trade for a goalie
Anaheim retained half for Dumoulin and it only took a meh prospect and a 2nd rounder. Ugh how can we not match that?

If you know your team has average goaltending then you can't play an irresponsible defensive game that allows your opponent multiple high quality looks that would find the back of the net even with a hall of fame goalie between the pipes.Great. You know what? That's his job.
Could the players up front play better? Absolutely. However, we get the impression that it seems the expectation you have is the players up front should take the full blame every time a goal goes in, but credit should be given in full for any 'difficult' save the goalies make.
The issue doesn't have to be mutually exclusive; both goalies and players can be shit at the same time. However, it is more often the goalies have been consistently shitty and being bailed out by the players up front. We are winning more games in spite of the shit goaltending; the goalies have rarely won us a game on their own.
And you and few others will still defend our shit tandemthis place will literally melt down
Lol the JJ special. Waiver players will save usSome players should be hitten waivers today no?
Why, Winnipeg will do better.Soucy controls his own destiny, I could see him going to Winnipeg.

Ah, so angry, but everyone is on that side, so you can't focus it right now. Makes sense.Reasons.

lol woof to that, I know the Sharks suck, but he's not been good and they can't retain lol.Lebrun:
Sharks listening on Ferraro
The San Jose Sharks are listening on Mario Ferraro, 26, who has one more year on his deal next season at a $3.25 million cap hit. Pretty reasonable indeed. He’s a UFA when his deal expires in July 2026.
Listening doesn’t mean they’ll move him, but given the small number of D on the trade market, the Sharks are seeing what comes their way.
It just so happens that the Edmonton Oilers are in need of a defense addition.
Sigh….
That's true, but don't they also pay the least? Price of having 2 superstars I suppose. I've (like most here) wanted a better starter for years though, but the analysts and people running the Oilers apparently know better than us.
Has anyone done a basic analysis of Blackwood vs Georgiev this year on the Avs? Seems like a goalie upgrade can definitely be worth the investment.
edit: Looks like Blackwood is .921 as an Av vs .873 for Georgiev this year. So Blackwood is outperforming his numbers with San Jose (which were around .911). Georgiev is .884 with San Joe.
I thought Blackwood's performance with Colorado could be a good indication of what a goalie upgrade could net the Oilers, but unfortunately there isn't a comparable upgrade available.

Trent Frederic and Mario Ferraro would be an absolute failure of a deadline (if it happens) jfc.lol woof to that, I know the Sharks suck, but he's not been good and they can't retain lol.
Maybe Jersey know Kovacevic isn't going to re-signI could see this being a move signaling a Kovacevic deal.
Dumo-Hamilton
Dillon-Hughes
Siegenthaler-Pesce
Casey/Nemec
And it kinda makes sense with Hughes out, if they feel they can get a 1st for Kovacevic. Go from a 2nd to a 1st and Kova to Dumo in a year where your missing one of your best players. Your not selling off, pissing all your players off, but you are getting assets for a solid UFA.
I wonder if Klingberg goes back the other way?Lebrun:
