Am responding to this quote from Boom Boom G in prior thread (could not reply in time)....
Yandle would make a fine second line center. Can't wait to see what the spine of the team looks like after we move Stepan for Yandle, buy out Richards, and move Boyle.
Bern if it was up to you we would be icing a new team every 6 weeks, because you're trade happy.
Why would Phx move Yandle for Stepan? Edit: Why would NYR move Stepan for Yandle? Because JT Miller has had a couple of nice games? Really?
You jump to conclusions so quickly, it's difficult to take anything you say seriously.
Kreider hasn't shown us much. And he's only a year younger than Stepan.
One player has posted 45 points, and 51 points in his career. A career that hasn't even come close to blossoming. The other is struggling adjusting to the NHL game.
Yet in the fairytale world you live in, you think Kreider's the more valuable player.
Keep dreaming buddy
Let's put that in digestible chunks...
Yandle would make a fine second line center. Can't wait to see what the spine of the team looks like after we move Stepan for Yandle, buy out Richards, and move Boyle.
Obviously there is a big

in your tone which you chose not to icon.
Yandle will give us additional options. We'd move a D, probably Girardi + for a better C, or we go even stronger on D and look for other options at C.
What you are forgetting, or unwilling to say so I'll point it out for you, is that depending upon the +, if Stepan + is a talent upgrade, we should do it. I am not saying that Yandle is our best option in that regard, just that 'Yotes are strong on backline and would make him available and Stepan is acceptable as centerpiece for that kind of trade.
As for buy out Richards, that won't happen till end of next year.

we should move him before if circumstances allow, which is not likely, but possible.
Moving that contract would free up space for a replacement.
There may be thin situation at C this year, but that will pass.
Bern if it was up to you we would be icing a new team every 6 weeks, because you're trade happy.
Only as slow or as fast as it takes to make enough moves for this club to improve to where it needs to be, which is good enough not to merely challenge, but have enough reasonable chance to dominate.
Why would Phx move Yandle for Stepan? Edit: Why would NYR move Stepan for Yandle? Because JT Miller has had a couple of nice games? Really?
As noted DS would be an acceptable piece.
Phx boards have let it be known for a year + they want to do a D for scoring help, probably Ws. Many threads/posts have specified Yandle.
Why do we do it? As I said, upgrade.
Because of Miller's few nice games? Really?
Well,
YES, Really
Oh yeah, despite that it would make more biz sense to not play him further this year, Miller's game is so good, is with such heart as to be another Cally lite, that they elected to keep him.
I would have kept Golden Boy too, but they're just keeping him busy while things get sorted on the big club. Kreider's eye opener vs. Brodeur has cinched that.
You jump to conclusions so quickly, it's difficult to take anything you say seriously.
I don't say things JUST to be popular. I try to speak the truth and come up with creative suggestions to help us identify possible scenarios that improve the club. Sometimes my observations/judgment is in error, usually it is not.
The more we go forward, the more I trust this to be proven so.
Get to know me!
Kreider hasn't shown us much.
Be honest, he really hasn't had THAT much of a chance to.
And he's only a year younger than Stepan.
And that is relevant because.....
One player has posted 45 points, and 51 points in his career. A career that hasn't even come close to blossoming. The other is struggling adjusting to the NHL game.
I will take kreider over Stepan any day, and if we post a poll, you will get the same conclusion from most at this board, and I dare say given an equal price the result would be the same at the big board.
If you;re SO sure I'm wrong, create a poll and give it ample time. I'm sure most would take Kreider.
Yet in the fairytale world you live in, you think Kreider's the more valuable player.
Stepan, based on larger opportunity to date, not equal performance, has better stat's. But Kreider's upside is phenomenal. So yes, that's not even close, here on earth. ... maybe different on Bizzarro world, but not here.
Sure thing, pal o meano, pal o mino.
