Crosby would elevate this team in a big way. I'm not suggesting he would turn us into a cup contender, but rather serve to be a stepping stone on the path to becoming just that. The presence he would bring to the locker room would be an education that would propel our group forward in leaps and bounds.

Can you imagine Demidov on the wing of Sid? The kid would get 80-plus points in his rookie season. God, why can't this happen?

It wasn't an area of concern when we got Price either. Good goalies get you further more often than not and both Florida teams have proven that.

Oettinger is a lot better than Monty objectively.

He hasn't won the big game yet, he's only 26. Literally entering his prime.

It's not happening. But I will say this, Crosby on your team puts you in the Conference finals next year, at MINIMUM.

People underestimate two things:

- just how good Sidney Crosby STILL is, regardless of age.

and

- how great this Canadiens team is going to be.

i agree with you points how good he will help this team.
While i see why you might think he wont be traded, i say if he is traded it will be monttreal and i have the feeling it will happen.

He’s not good at it that’s for sure.

Still remains a person with issues that is slow and not even good the last time he was in the NHL

Kuznetsov is terrible, but he's definitely not slow. His top speed was still 95th percentile when he left the league. And, in his prime (and I mean just 3 years ago), he was one of the best skaters in the league, probably top 5-10 among forwards. He was basically a master technician of skating, completely effortless in his stride.

It might be a good idea actually. He wasn't pick 9 ov for nothing, the kid got skills but yeah he's small, maybe too small for our team.


He's a solid player and I wouldn't be surprised if he hit 70 pts next year either here or elsewhere. He would needs a big winger to play with him though, maybe Slafkovski?

Could also add another player on July 1st if we can drop some salary on the Rossi deal.

No flipping Toews, no Kuznetsov, no Bennett..

What about the fact of the scarcity of center options?

He is but his shot while not heavy is precise as enough to score 20+.

Would be a solid option down the middle for MTL if you cant get Bennett/Horvat/Duchene.

His size might scare KH with Caufield and Hutson already on this team.

Considering the migraine Horvat would cure, tossing the latter 2nd rd pick into the mix would be fine by me.

Seems ‘everyone’ is looking for a 2C. That will drive the price up. There are other options, with less cost of futures, but none better.
