Philip Danault Habs in 2027 UFA :sarcasm:

i have been saying it for 2 month, he will be a hab...and our run only make him excited with that challenge.
Crosby is not the guy who will go to a colorado or dallas loaded team.
Habs fit perfectly on all levels.
We have the assets, young players and multiple picks that the Penguins would surely be interested in. Only happens if Sid is willing to leave.

Maybe, I just don't think Sid is the kind of guy that also wants to retire without a shot at winning every year, I mean 3 years in a row now with no playoffs has to be unacceptable for him to accept
agree and he would want a shot winning. also where would a win make you immortal other then mtl?
the mecca with no wins since 93.....
surely more then dallas and colorado where they would remember more a cowboys or broncos win

They were suggesting on 690 this afternoon that Sullivan’s firing may have increased the chances of Crosby agreeing to be traded.

Danault looking good in playoffs…cant believe Marc Douchevin played hard ball with him. If they get eliminated by Edmonton, is there a way to convince them to trade him back to us? Damn i would kill for a Danault vs Caps.

makes sense. the firing means a rebuild and he wont want to stay there for that.
And honestly, cant see a better fit with all that we know then montreal.
And as we all know, he will be traded where he wants to go and not to the highest offer.

I'm coming around on Horvat.
I also think that he won't cost nearly as much as people think as long as the Habs take on the full salary without sending anything back. That cap space alone has significant value.

As for Crosby, again, I don't think he'll cost as much as people think. If he gets traded, it's because he asked to go to a specific team. There will be no bidding war. It's kind of like Patrick Kane only accepting going to the Ranger and thus only netting a 2nd. Plus, I doubt Pittsburgh would be wanting any salary coming back, which again would affect his trade value.
Obviously he would return more than Kane did, but I don't think we're talking anywhere near "two firsts and an A prospect" here.
You're absolutely right about Crosby. He will decide where he goes, if he wants to.

Horvat has also a full no trade clause so he'll have a say where he goes.

Some of the proposals i read here are absolutely ridiculous.
It won't cost two mid 1sts and a top prospect like Michael Hage, or something close to that.
