Pens won the cup in Crosby's 4th season and Malkin's 3rd season and if we are being honest that was one of the youngest core to win a cup. That would means us winning in 27-28 (Hutson's 4th season and Demidov's 3rd season). By that point Barzal would be 31 and this is the best case scenario.
Yah sure, but Suzuki exists and is the teams best player, the teams Crosby.

You want us to have the softest offense in the league?! Josh is not going anywhere, don’t need a late first anyways.
We need the cap space so we can acquire top players and have better depth.

Anderson is irrelevant to the toughness of our team because he plays bottom6 minutes and will never change the makeup of the top6. We need a tougher top6, that’s for sure but Anderson is invisible for half the season and inconsistent for the other half.

After four years of him you should know he’s a fraud.

Montreal has plenty of cap space. So does half the league. Its availability and cost that will determine if Montreal gets a 2C. Assuming they don't think the answer there is internal.

Columbus could be a good trading partner… Sillinger or Del Bel Belluz? They already have Fantilli, Monahan and Jenner, with Lindstrom as a top C prospect.
Why draft Owen Beck from the same OHL team ahead of del bel belluz only to after him a few years later?

I highly doubt the scouting department who picked mesar and beck ahead of Luca, wants to admit this.

Good one. He defend Guhle vs Tom Wilson and beat him. Did the same with Trouba.

After years of seeing non-physical offense like Carolina getting no where in the playoff, you should know we need some toughness in our top9. Anderson is really liked by his teamates, not going anywhere. Just look how MSL talks about him.

Ya let's get rid of the only tough forward we have that can play hockey.

Chicago did it with Toews and Kane both on ELCs and a slightly older supporting cast. Hutson and Demidov could be those impact players.

Maybe but expecting it to happen would still be foolish imo. I'd go for a two years stop gap like Gilmour in 2001-2002 and 2002-2003.

Let's just see how much Hutson's extension is after we win the cup next month.

MSL & Hughes both coached Zegras in youth hockey for a number of years, so they know the human being behind the player well.

Zegras like Hutson is a rink rat - he eats, breathes & sleeps hockey. Ana is simply a bad fit stylistically for his game - little ball of hate & Cronin want players to play a certain style of in your face hard game which simply isn’t in Zegras - his high end skill set would fit seamlessly w current Habs under MSL
Dach is also a rink rat. He’s injured and sits on the bench watching the guys practice. It doesn’t mean anything since he’s still a massive disappointment, much like Zegras

Zegras is in a spot where there’s zero pressure, there’s talent around him and he still cannot succeed. He’s just not that good

f*** yeah let's circlejerk this dynasty into existence.
Its crazy but its not THAT crazy. i swear were not even circle jerking.

Toews = captain serious = Nick
Kane = primtime = Ivan
Keith = Norris winning country boy = Lane
Hossa = we dont have anyone that matches
