I like Bennett but everytime he plays the Habs, he makes these huge brainfart mistakes. Maybe he really does not want to play with us so he make himself look bad. lol But I can just imagine if he was in Montreal how these mistakes would be perceived.

I was gonna do that, but then Laine became the odd man out with no talented centerman to play with.. If Heineman could regain his pre accident form, he could do alot for that line with his forcheck and backcheck game, plus with his shot he can easily score 20-25 playing with Crosby. Do you see a better fit in that lineup?

I'm saying he is not playing to his potential cause of how he has been handled. Hartley the other day even said he would give Jack some PK time. Give him so love. Make him useful. Send him outthere to send message to other teams. Put him on the fourth line, etc...

MSL is not a career coach so he doesn't understand shit like this. And it's weird cause he played with Andre Roy.

I honestly don't give one cent of value to what Hartley is saying....there's a reason the guy can't get a job a NA for decade other than on TV.

How is that going to improve Xhekaj as D cause he'll never be forward.

And as for the PK, why would we put Xhekaj more on the PK?

Without his fights, he's the thrid most penalized D in the NHL, that's not on MSL, that's on Xhekaj.

And Xhekaj has NO REASON as he don't play 20-25 minutes a night and he's not facing the tough opposition.

Brutal stat. Xhekaj is not making a case for himself as an NHLer.

I hate to speak this way about a tough guy warrior self-made type but the rumours of his party habits + his lack of growth make me think he’s on the verge of harming his career trajectory unless something changes.

That or a trade would wake him up.

This is what people fail to notice, because they are in love with Xhekaj.

Virtually all of his critics readily accept that it would be awesome if he works out for us. He's a legitimately terrifying deterrence factor. The local self-made man lore is also charming. We get that. We sympathize.

But he HAS TO BE a serviceable NHL-level defenseman first and foremost and he has not established himself as such, despite cupcake deployment.

People need to realize that Xhekaj doesn't have the same physical advantage as he did in OHL or AHL. This is a player who's shown his limitations. He will need to be paired with right guy to make it work but doubt he can be a guy who's used more than 17 mins a night

Beside Rempe, how many fighting types are there that are coming up? Reaves and co are a dying breed. I will take the better defenseman of the two if Struble proves to be the better fit. That being said it doesn't mean I want Xhekaj to sit around and be traded for peanuts a la Tinordi
