I guess some people are oblivious to the season he’s having, or don’t know about NHLe. Not a perfect model but gives a rough estimate of production moving from one league to another.
Carry on.

Buffalo ask for Caufield or Slaf for Cozens
McTavish isn’t going anywhere, him and Leo Carlsson are absolutely untouchable

Bourque isn't really a center though is he?I wonder what Dallas would want for Mavrik Bourque and CLB for Sillinger. I think Hughes will either bring a stopgap center or an up and coming one. Would be surprised at players in their primes, they'll either not want to come or the assets required won't make sense.
Yes he isBourque isn't really a center though is he?
Good to hear I thought Dallas had him on the wing for the last couple seasonsYes he is
He plays both, but took 300 face-off and he is at 47 % what is good for a rookieGood to hear I thought Dallas had him on the wing for the last couple seasons
I 100% agree with this.If the smoke around Dobson's name had any truth to it then it might be time to circle back to that idea. With Reinbacher apparently missing time with knee issues again it's starting to seem risky to project him as a core piece going forward.
If we could land a UFA center like Bennett this summer it'd be ideal. Then we'd still have all our assets available to swing for the fences on Dobson if he's truly available.
I think the Islanders would also think, let's not get an injury prone player for Dobson, just rational thinking hereIf the smoke around Dobson's name had any truth to it then it might be time to circle back to that idea. He is, it's just that he looks like a Jake Evans copy-cat. Not really 2C calliber.Bourque isn't really a center though is he?
How interesting would it be to an UFA C to be told they will be playing with Slafkovsky and Demidov, for example?
Starting to really think that the solution at 2C will be a stop-gap, whether it is an UFa opt a cheaper veteran C in a trade.
Montreal will not sell out their core in a sideways move because it wants to improve overall, not just at C.

I'd imagine that would be very interesting for a center, imo.How interesting would it be to an UFA C to be told they will be playing with Slafkovsky and Demidov, for example?

Yeah, when I was looking for trade targets a few weeks ago, i noticed all the vet 2Cs had NTC/NMC. Our best options are UFA or swinging a trade for a young 2C. This is why I really wanted Cozens at the TDL and why I want Bennett as UFA. 2C are really hard to get, and it seems most teams are looking for one. Some of these older 2C have NTC or NMC. Don’t know if we are on their no trade clause (B.Schenn would be a sick stop gap)
