I still think something around Cozen+Power/Byram for Pettersson makes too much sense.

Buffalo needs a major shakeup and Pettersson would get to play in a market with less media pressure.

It seems like they're going to need some sort of miracle to get their team going at this point and I don't see a much better "hail Mary" trade out there for them.

I dont compare his stats. Its just to doing things, acquiing a winger to make it a center is something done and cost us 2 1st rd picks.

How about this

You get 5 teams to retain
4 teams to retain 1 million each (give them each a 3rd or 4th round pick not sure if this is enough though)
1 team to retain 600k (give them 4th or a 5th round pick)

then You get EP40 for 7 million......

is that even legal, now that would be thinking outside the box

It's the only way they can trade him is to pay at least 4 mil per year of that contract plus take on a bad contract.If anyone pays a king's ransome for him they are crazy.He may never revert back to the way he was ,I would do it if the terms i said applied.Even a 60 point per year 2C is fine with potential for more,It's a lot better than what we have now and we have no one in the system next year that can step in

Well it's not like EP is doing anything there to help them one way or another .He wants out of there and a fresh start somewhere else

PLD last year was worse than Pettersson this year. Petterssons peak also blows PLDs out of the water.
