They should be moving mountains to make the playoffs, we're sick of losing and sick of not making the playoffs. Most of us expected playoffs this season, management included. We've been on a roller coaster ride but here we are. Move a mountain, it's been done before.

...it's called a Rebuild for a reason; we needed a complete overhaul of our Covid team that made the Finals...you don't get that overnight...

I wouldn’t go that far. We are not good enough to win a series. Playing meaningful hockey in March is a massive win. We’ve been out of it by December in years previous.

We're litteraly missing 1 player to compete seriously. This year's draft prospect doesn't help us for a couple years or maybe never. We need a proven 2C not more magic beans.

And for those with a short memory, management was aiming for a playoff spot THIS season, and they were fairly confident too, the tone changed though. But we're back now.

We are far from 1 player to compete for a cup. Buying a rental now would be the most stupid thing KH could do.

...and you need another team to deal with...Hughes is probably working the phones as we speak...we need the players we have now to progress as well and that takes time...2nd youngest team in the League, amigo; give it time...patience...

It's a moot point since we are not one player away anyway.

We are missing a 2nd line center, a 2nd line winger, two top 4 RHD (one if Guhle is coming back this year).

And even if you get those pieces the team is not experienced enough. Most of the experiece comes from a bottom 6 that was not able to win jackshit before we started to add kids. I'd easily argue our bottom 6 is not gritty enough for the playoffs.

For this year. We have nobody to replace him and he's filling a role right now. I don't want to disrupt the chemistry of this team. We are finally seeing the young guys flourish. We have a shot to get them some playoff games. Worth more than a 3rd round pick.

In your example you are just letting your money sit without investing it and happily taking the 1% interest rate.

You should be trying to find a better job instead of trying to sell your stand up freezer that you actually use on Facebook marketplace for $50.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Only way I'd be okay with it is if they really like the player and believe they could re sign him. Other then that just hold onto are ufa's and let them battle it out in hopes of making the playoffs.
