lol.... what a bad take. Laine can't score off the rush. he's too slow. Demidov will enter the zone and wait for 30m before Laine get there. On the PP sure that make sense, not at 5v5.Yeah, let's not put our soon to be best playmaker with one of our best shooters.
Yes and no. The other gm might ask a center for a center in the deal. But if he have future good c in his prospect pool, he might ask for a specific need in his next po run/ season. Something like a d or a g.If we're trading for a young, cost controlled 2nd line C it is hard to imagine the package going the other way would not include Hage or Beck.
With what Brisebois paid for those other slugs Francis probably wants 2 firsts and a prospect.I’m really warming to the Jared McCann idea
Only 28, 2 more years at 5 per
Can play wing as well if other Centres blossom
Speically Savard. The way Engstrom, Reinbacher and Mailloux are playing in the AHL makes no sense to extend him. Start next season with a kid and if it doesn'T work like this year trade for a vet during the season. No We signed Evans because he took less money to stay with the team.
Armia Dvorak Savard can all be traded , they are worth nothing for us till the end of the season. They are non factor players.
Not really, he got beaten by 5'8'' Connor Garland. Stay away from Zegras.
He's actually a center who was moved to the wing because of depth he has taken over 3000 draws in the NHL. If we can pay a winger's price more power to us.McCann is a winger.
He's my guy, if it's at all possible.I would be interested in Ryan O'Reilly as a stop gap, 2 yrs left on his contract.
Trotz said his vets all asked not to be traded, and even though ROR doesn’t have a NTC/NMC he will treat him as if he has oneI would be interested in Ryan O'Reilly as a stop gap, 2 yrs left on his contract.
Boy, that’s paying a lot for such a one dimensional player regardless as to how good his one dimensional skill is.lol.... what a bad take. Laine can't score off the rush. he's too slow. Demidov will enter the zone and wait for 30m before Laine get there. On the PP sure that make sense, not at 5v5.
If his game fitness does not improve dramatically over the summer he isn't long for this build.Boy, that’s paying a lot for such a one dimensional player regardless as to how good his one dimensional skill is.
Which is absurd. But I guess they all likely signed there for some tax reprieve and to take it easy.Trotz said his vets all asked not to be traded, and even though ROR doesn’t have a NTC/NMC he will treat him as if he has one
He’d be a great acquisition. Very affordable contract. Can clearly be productive on the wing if ever there’s some type of logjam up the middle. He's actually a center who was moved to the wing because of depth he has taken over 3000 draws in the NHL. If we can pay a winger's price more power to us.
Trades are hardAre the friggin' GM"s awake yet let's get a move on it.
Don't put of until tomorrow what you can do today!
He's not very good on the dot, but he's better than Dach. He’d be a great acquisition. Very affordable contract. Can clearly be productive on the wing if ever there’s some type of logjam up the middle.
No retention when getting rid of Laine?I’d be getting rid of Laine if we acquire Rantanen. Wouldn’t think twice.
One is elite 5v5 and the other isn’t that good. If it’s $4m more per year for Rantanen, then that’s an easy call.
Yeah I’ll do whatever the Canes want if they want to give us a 100 point player. He only has one more year on his deal.No retention when getting rid of Laine?
Absolutely. But in hindsight, it was an intuitive gamble, that brought excite ment to the fan base and changed the overall mindset of the franchise that now said: we are here.If his game fitness does not improve dramatically over the summer he isn't long for this build.
There is …..their family / young kids….Which is absurd. But I guess they all likely signed there for some tax reprieve and to take it easy.
I’m always wary of guys in their mid-30s like Stamkos and Marchessault who are signing their last big contracts and have already won their Cup(s). There really is no motivation left.
You usually rebuild because your good players aren't good anymore. They have so many good players to trade that when they decide to rebuild they will be fine
