No you are trading two first round pick. One has a legit potential to be around 11th or 12th (Calgary) and the other one should be in the middle of the pack at worse (ours). You add a pretty solid defensive prospect ready to start soon and a legit center prospect both drafted in the first round and whose value has not really decreased since then. That's four 1st round pick. That's the value of an elite+ player. That's the value you pay for prime Scott Stevens.

Makes more sense. I'd happily send Hage+++ for Thomas. Ideal age, contract, production, skill set, etc. Sets the team up with a top-5 tandem down the middle until 2030.

Sadly, no reason for STL to move him. He's young enough to be a part of a retool and his contract is easy to work around.
