He's not on Savard level, he's a top4 defenceman and a solid PK player. He's one of the best defensive defenceman in the league.

Yeah for sure I couldn’t remember when it was but the one season he was hurt what’s quite some time ago (played like 27 games) I think I thought it was more often because of how big of an impact his absence was

Yes and to be even more precise, he is playing the same amount of time as Andrew Peeke on the right side... So MacAvoy is more than elite, Carlo elite and Peeke elite also?? why are Boston so bad if that's the case?
