HF Habs: Trade Proposal Thread #91: 2025 Trade Deadline edition

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
  • We're expecting server maintenance on March 3rd starting at midnight, there may be downtime during the work.
My guess is 3rd at full price or 2nd at 50%. Habs could take back money back.

Two first round picks and a 2nd round pick pick? Crosby is also an 8.7M Cap hit.

At 37, he's slowing down, even if he is around a PPG and he will continue t slow down at 38, 39 and 40.
Don’t most late 1sts bust? At least that’s what we hear all the time here

From a business perspective any team acquiring Crosby makes a ton of money, especially a big team

And most owners care more about making money and fan loyalty than winning

With us likely winning both of our next 2 games vs Buffalo I really don’t see KH doing anything. I imagine we will keep all of our players.

Perhaps a minor league AHL deal at best.

They got to get rid of Lindgren. It’s addition by subtraction. De Haan is better than him. Plus picks.
Disagree - Lindgren is very effective when matched with an offensive Dman (Makar?), De Haan is the classic definition of a depth Dman

And why would we trade Hage exactly? lol

A rebuilding team that need a 2C that trade one of their top 2 prospect, a center at that…
This team will never get out of its 30+ year failings at the centre position by trading the likes of Hage without finding out what he can be once developed.

We need more Hages and better, since development is not linear nor guaranteed. Centre is the toughest position to fill — Hughes needs to put himself in a position of leverage in order to shore it up.
