If Habs GM think they can get a 1st round pick, it won't be from wild GM. He doesn't give a 1st round pick for reantals and Yeah, prospects like Buium , Wallstedt, and Yurov are completely off limits for them. But they will not look elsewhere until Brock Nelson and Boeser are dealt because Wild are going after the Homeborn player's.

I know Stramel struggled last year, so tough read on his value
wild arent signing a 3 or 4c and 4th line winger to any extensions when they have less than zero need when fully healthy and they intend to go shopping in summer. Lol in no world is either player getting any of those top prospects in any world. They are untouchable. I can promise you wild will not trade Yurov, Buium or wallstedt for anything
Yurov is beyond untouchable. He's literally a top A prospect for wild in addition to Ohgren, more so Yurov. He's joining Kaprizov as wild 1 or 2 c before the year end.

Isn't Kaprizov done? And the Wild have nothing else to trade so either they stand pat and give up on the season or use a prospect to get help;. Aren't they last in the PK with the 10 bottom 6ers they have?

I wouldn't get bogged down on the Habs having to target any particular player, it's always so difficult to pin down.
The Wild may not want to make certain players available however there are multiple suitors and anything can happen in a bidding war, esp. for a GM on the hot seat.

Kaprizov isn't in fact done. Wild are waiting. There's a reason he's not a Injured Reserve. Wild anticipate him coming back later this year. But again, wild A prospects aren't going anywhere at all. They will stand pat if anyone ask for them because it won't happen. No one is getting a Buium, Yurov, or Wallstedt from them. They are beyond Untouchable
No interest at all. 3rd liner at best.

They might give up someone like Hunter Haight, who I'd take. Minnesota isn't giving up blue chip young players.
We do need more centers in the system, though. Only issue is Haight is another RH center. But, I like his game.
That seems like a reasonable ask.
Scott Wheeler is saying that Stramel has turned it around some and is back as a legit bottom 6 prospect.
Minny wont give up one of their top prospects for that package.
If we do trade both Evans and Dvorak at the deadline, I wonder if we could get Luke Kunin from the Sharks to play 4th line center (Beck 3rd line). A year younger than Evans and makes $2.75M, hits like a truck...

We could get GrabNoon for second line center for now and possibly sign Rantanen as FA this summer. I would not mind like having a window to trade Rantanen in 4 years. Like alright he has a NM clause. But in 4 four years, the NM stops and we have free reign to trade him if we are not satisfied of him.
Why do I get the feeling that Hughes is gonna bend a GM or two over this coming TDL and the "Hoes Mad" meme is going to be hot commodity?

Heard Bill Guerin say today on Pierre McGuire's podcast that it's pretty quiet on the trade front and that asking prices are ''astronomical'' at the moment.
Not sure exactly what qualifies as astronomical for him.
Also heard somebody say that buyers are waiting for more teams to become sellers and prices to go down.
Might have to wait another week until things start to happen.

Rantanen I think MacKinnon made him look better than he is. MacKinnon did same with Drouin in Halifax.
Same with Bennett. I doubt he will be the same player here as he is in Florida. Probably get the Calgary version if we sign him. Likely a mistake

If we could sign Duchene to a 2 year deal this summer, that would be great.
