Off season trades in my fantasy land

:kings

Kirby Dach
Mike Matheson

:habs
Brandt Clarke
Phil Danault

:habs
Tage Thompson

:sabres
David Reinbacher
2025 1st (highest pick)
Josh Anderson (cap)

Slafkovsky-Suzuki-Caufield
Demidov-Thompson-Laine
Heineman-Danault-Newhook
Open spot(Roy, Kapanen?)- Beck-Gallagher

Hutson-Carrier
Free agent (Brian Dumoulin?)-Clarke
Xhekaj-Savard
Engstrom/Mailloux

D still needs work (sucks to lose Reinbacher) but that forward group is a great mix of youth and young veterans.

Danaults slots in until Hage joins in 2 years.

Montreal wins both of those handedly.

See talk of signing a big name FA at 10+. I just don’t see it, they will stick to an internal cap and the next guy to blow through that will be Demi.

Imagine paying Rants 14 and he can’t carry a line. I get the cap is going up and guys will eventually make more the Suzie and CC, but not as soon as this summer, and def not by 5MM. Hughes as a former agent knows what that would do to the room.

Not sure what happened to Guhle here, but one thing for sure, no need for Danault.

Most times when I come in this thread I am quickly reminded how happy I am we have a rational management team that doesn't cave to fan pressure. The vast majority of posts in here are insane. The fanbase is overwhelmingly impatient and lacks vision of any kind, it never changes.

I vote we rename this thread the HuGo appreciation thread. May they never come in this thread for a single idea under any circumstances.

Why? The priority for next season should 100% be to sign a vet 2nd line center on a 2 years deal to play with Demidov. There's no room for Armi, Davorak i'd even argue Evans. People really need to take a serious look at the lineup before saying SIGN EVERYONE :scared:.

Caufield-Suzuki-Slaf
Laine-vet 2nd line center-Demidov
Heineman-Newhook-Dach
Anderson-Beck/Kapanen-Gallagher

Is anyone suggesting "sign everyone"?

Who plays the PK in that lineup?

Evans &/or Armia makes that lineup considerably better. Neither Beck/Kapanen are likely to get PP or PK time in that roster, better they play big roles in a lesser pro league for one more year than 10-12min/night as a 4C

Marco Rossi and Brock Faber would be perfect, but no way the Wild give them up.

I'm not sure the rest fill a need or is better than what we already have in the pool for said need.

C Riley Heidt and RD David Spacek?
Lol in what world would you ever bring up Brock Faber whose Untouchable for them and Rossi is their 1c. You're right, wild wouldn't . Bill Guerin, wild GM doesn't also give up top prospects and or 1st round picks for rentals.

Because they would be the young guys from the Wild that would interest the Habs. I am well aware that they are not available.
