I would go for Cozens asap, lock up a 2C who can actually win draws
Cozens & Dach have the same deficiences - lack defensive awareness & subpar at faceoffs

Cozens, however, has a non stop motor (hence “workhorse from Whitehorse” nickname), and more speed to his game vs Dach

Say the TSN trade board this morning and it had Savard at number 4.

Over/Under getting a 2.5 round pick in return for him.....what say you?

Also talk that if Rantanen doesn't come to terms with Carolina, he may be on the move again. Wouldn't that be something
Last year I would have said Savard would get a 2nd. But he has not been good this year.

Posters complain about Matheson’s D gaffes don’t realize how prone Dobson is to unforced errors as well
Matheson is statistically one of the worst defensive defenceman out there. Dobson is not nearly that bad. And he’s better offensively too. What better partner for Hutson if the goal is to have Guhle with Carrier as the stable duo, when the Habs were playing better. Both players on their natural side, it would be similar to Toews-Makar.

Some of these roster proposals are mind blowing. Filling half the team with new players and the other half with rookies who’ve never played in the NHL.

Exaggeration undermines the point.

If **all** of Dvorak, Savard, Evans, and Armia are traded that means a maximum of four rookies next year, and almost certainly some of those spots would be covered by rookies or trade acquisitions.

And none of those are core players.

It's not a big deal.

I would like to keep Evans though. He's not that easy of an asset to acquire. He's like Lehkonen, you trade these players knowing you might quickly try to have to acquire one. The rest are replaceable.
