I wonder if we have something of interest for St-Louis to adhere to a Gallagher-Schenn swap.

Both the same age, both 6.5M, bot in decline
Gally has 2 more years, Schenn 3 more

If STL feel like it’s time to move on they would get the shorter contract and free up roster spot for Dvorsky, Dean and other close to graduating

We’d be on the hook for one more year of an older player in decline, but he would at least fill a positional need, bring some size and leadership

Schenn is still outproducing Gally, I feel the add would need to be worthwhile. I like Pekarcik on their hand, what can we add for Schenn-Pekarcik? Gally-Struble-Highest of our 2nd?

Despite the rumors, I honestly fail to see why STL would trade Schenn so it’s probably moot, but just for the fun of it

I know neither story probably leads to much discourse in the locker room, but lets pretends we're in a nightmare scenario like Vancouver was with a disgruntled locker room. Slaf's pissed at management and Caufield wants out of town; would you move Caufield+ for Michkov and Slaf+ for a high end 2C/low end 1C?

Then potentially have something along the lines of Demi-Suzuki-Michkov and Laine-McTavish-Dach as our top 6 next season.

Great offense im not sure. Kyrou has seemed to plateaued as a 65 point player. Rumblings earlier this yr prior to the coach being fired

3 yrs missing playoffs on non rebuilding team usually will lead to a drastic change at some point.

With that said, i could see them giving Monty a full training camp to see if can build them in his vision

I meant great offense for retooling team- Thomas, Kyrou, Holloway, Neighbours, Bolduc, Dvorsky, Snuggerud, Pekarcik that is core which can be together next 7 years.

Arpon Basu today at BPM said that when they drafted Reinbacher, somebody in the organization told him they hope he could have the same impact then Dobson so it’s 2 source now that are telling that they are high on Dobson

I have doubts that they’d want Fowler, but sure. Hage, yes.

For now the best solution for a LC, is to wait at the draft to see if we can trade up to get Desnoyers. If we can’t, then look on the trade market

This isn't a comment on Desnoyers but I don't see how he is our solution at center. He is what? 2 - 3 years away from the big show and then he needs to grow into his role. Suzuki will be pushing or over 30 when Desnoyers will be approaching his peak. Sure draft Desnoyers but not with the plan that he will be our solution. We need someone who can slot into the 2C spot and produce immediately.
