The only player we would sell is Evans if he's asking for too much and a team pays handsomely for him. I don't expect us to buy for upcoming UFAs, but could see us inquiring about UFAs for next year.
outside of playoff at the deadline i expect Savard Armia Evans and Dvorak (LOL)

If the trade is good Anderson , Matheson

I legit dont expect the upcoming UFas to comeback next season perhaps for Evans but even there he will get a 1st easily at the tdl

We are gonna sell man not buy

If we're still in the mix by TDL, I don't think we're selling. I also don't think we're buyers. I think if they do make a deal, it'll be a hockey deal to add someone who still has a year or two left on their deal. They won't go for pure rentals.

It'll be like the Laine and Carrier trades. Acquiring players with some term who won't be here for just a few months.

I know we might not be seller this year but if so

NJ could sure use Evans and Matheson in their line up.
What would be the asking price for these 2 ?

So Allvin is working Hard on something that can have no impact if Miller just says no ? Seems Hard to believe : first you ask Miller where he would accept to go and then you discuss with those teams. This is a Full NMC.
Every time, teams negotiate a deals and then ask the player.

For all we know, Miller is aware of what's going on and he knows what teams are interested.

They let him know that for example the Pens, the Devils, the Avs and so on are among those showing serious interest. And he then mulls it over while Allvin continues to work the phones. Ultimately, it is Miller who says yes or no. But if Allvin does it the right way, Miller is made aware and his agent is part of the process.

Evans, Matheson and a 2nd for Nemec. Allow NJD to discuss an extension with Evans before the trade. Matheson still has a year left on his contract after this season. The 2nd helps them make other TDL deals.

Nemec comes into our top 6 immediately. We call up Beck. This is a downgrade, but we should then hold on to Savard, Dvorak and Armia for the playoff push.

Take on some cap dumps instead of giving a 2nd to make the money work.
Jersey can then send Matheson and Mercer to Vancouver for Miller. Money works.

NJD are going after JT Miller and will likely send Nemec back to Van as part of a package with other NHL ready assets

If we're fighting for a spot by deadline, they won't sell

The team chemistry is insane, the guys are having fun, if you suddenly sell, that's gonna hurt the team

Unless we're like 4-5 points from the last playoff spot, I doubt we sell

I don't think we buyers also unless we're in solid playoff position by then

This, and looking at the standings in the East, seems it'll be blurry for a while.

I also don't see us as sellers, nor buyers.

Armia isn’t bringing back a 3rd. Devils aren’t going to accept a bottom line player who’s a free agent, a cap dump or 7th round pick winger and prospect. So yeah, you will have to give more
I never said they'd accept it. We have no idea what they'd accept.

However, Armia will definitely bring back a good return, as well Evans, if moved. And Mailloux is worth at least a 1st at this point.

according to you, a 4th line player whose done nothing will bring back a good return? dude settle down when it comes to armia. Maybe evans will. but usually, when a team trades a top prospect, they want a really good player back, or a 1st, top prospects and picks. so you're wrong

That's Kent Hughes' music

Probably means Vancouver retains 2m of Miller's cap hit, gets another team to retain another 2m, and gets Mercer and Nemec from NJ. They just have to find a team that will take on a 2m caphit for 4 years at a reasonable price, which won't be easy.

Meh they shouldn't pull a covid deadline and should actually sell. The success of this team is mostly due to the players who are gonna be Long term as habs. Better than wasting assets for nothing. We did enough Bergevinaism

Nemec is definitely someone I would seek from Devils. However, I'm not giving up 2 current roster players for him. Not against giving up 3 assets for him, but not 2 current roster players.

If it's Evans + draft pick(s) + prospect (Laval player), I'm interested.

I get the incentive to do this now because of Nemec and Mercer, but Canucks are in a weird place where I doubt they'd be comfortable giving up a 1st, and trading away top prospects defeats the purpose of getting younger.
