Haven’t watched Jiricek play in a while, but seems like he’d be a perfect fit for your needs. Those of you who’ve been watching him what do you think?

Are you saying that Hughes doesn’t consult this site before deciding on a course of action? Then let’s have this site shut down, serves no purpose. 💀
Geez, I was sure HuGo checked this site, before any deals they made.....let's leave the site up, a least until the trade deadline....

Some of us have pointed out he was soft for years now.
Has always reminded me of a Drouin type
Lots of hype, and skill..................zero substance.

Will HuGo move a couple of vets at the TDL?

What does Matheson’s value look like today?

I harp about the 7 picks in part bc I’m skeptical Hab vets carry much value.

It will obviously depend if they pick up their play and get back into the fight.

If it stays a similar picture today, then I think they almost assuredly have to trade them.

Armia is probably a 3rd round pick at highest.
Dvorak as well.

Savard should net a 2nd.

Matheson if traded would get a fair haul, a 1st plus prospect.

Don't see them trading Matheson in season, though and he's not expiring.

Because you’d have Scheafer, Hutson and Guhle on the left.

Guhle has shown that he’s very capable of playing at RD. I don’t have an issue considering him as a strong second pairing RD if that’s where we need him.

Guhle

I haven’t seen as much progression as I thought I would. I can’t comment on the nuances of his game as I’ve only seen him play twice this year, but his skating and physical play don’t appear that far removed from how he looked in his draft year. A step behind the play, loses puck battles. Based off CBJ fans, sounds like he makes a lot of mistakes at both ends of the rink. Lots of chatter around his unwillingness to play in the AHL. Still young though, lots of great tools.

Feels a bit redundant with Mailloux and Reinbacher around.

Thanks. I can’t get enough games up here to form legit opins on those guys.

Might be best to keep Savard around…

Still think he will get something nice at the deadline because he is a center and contenders want depth.
Contenders team don't have space in the cap for his 4m contract lol. He bring nothing to a elite team. We probably get a 6 or 7 round pick at best for him.

Is probably best to let him finish his contract and let him go in the summer. No need to rush a young kid to Montreal.
