Seems bad. Will Kuzmin ever even crack and NHL roster?

Based off his 7 points in 39 AHL games.... Well, I still don't know because I've never even heard of him, but I doubt it.

Not like we gave up anything beyond maybe a #7 defenseman on his best day.

Just saw that too. Do they want a comfortable partner for Lev in Rockford?

I was big on Phillips when he shined being in Rockford early because of covid but he's mentally never reading the plays well enough to really be more than a #7
Maybe just a fellow countryman to “acclimate” better with.

Kuzmin is also younger and signed thru next year so it makes sense to move on from Phillips now when it was going to happen in offseason anyway

Kuzmin is longshot but hey look at Crevier at this point. Worst case Kuzmin is partner/etc for Lev for rest of year and part of Hogs D next season

AHL guy for a younger AHL who maybe could blossom into something whereas Phillips is likely what he is at 24. Doubt a 5'10 LHD has any future in Chicago at this point with what is in front of him in the pipeline, but the Lev countryman comfort thing, getting an AHL D for next season, and giving Phillips a chance to earn an NHL job where Winnipeg has been racking up some D injuries with Fluery and Miller on IR and Stanley/Samburg having been dinged up recently too are all good reasons.

100% sounds like a deal for a binky for Arty given the recent events when he missed a team meeting.

sounds like a logical trade to me. Put Levshunov is the best position possible to succeed.

I mean lev speaks perfect English does he not? And he’s been here for a while 2.5 years or so. I kind of doubt with his personality he is dying for company but maybe I’m wrong.
