Wild aren't looking for picks when it comes to Rossi. Wild were offered two 1st round picks and turned it down. They are looking for a win now player like a Peterka or Kadri, something Montreal doesn't have. No teams are currently wanting picks for their players, so wild aren't willing to accept picks currently.

Every Rossi proposal someone trots this out and in a sense I understand the logic, however, teams don't like complicated. And literally, all that does is add another step to the process. It just makes it a bigger pain in the ass than it needs to be. I mean, if you want to hold out hope that that's how Guerin plays it out, by all means, have at it. But, I think that unless the offer is way too good for him to pass up, he's got very little interest, especially in this draft in taking back picks.

I mean, sure, that's a lot of value. Yet Minnesota isn't looking for futures and the Habs evidently have not expressed interest to the Wild, per Russo.

There's a lot of teams trying to improve themselves right now, and really only the Pens trying to get worse and take pure futures back.

Few clubs want to enter a rebuild, and several want to end their lingering rebuilds. The trade market lacks sellers. Hockey trades seem to be what the market is incentivizing.
