I watched that game last night and they are just putrid to watch offensively. Dead puck era offense.
It's mystifying why Clarke isn't playing more than 5 minutes a game.

I like the idea of maccelli from Utah, but, he's a guy you pull a Tomasino for a pick up for a 4th or something and let him fight for playing time with all the other cast offs on thisnroster.
He is at best a warm body thrown in with other assets so that you don't have to take a kid from the AHL team out of the calder cup race just to fill an empty spot left at the NHL level by moving out raks/beau/acari ect.
I mean hasnt he been a healthy scratch lately with their coach playing guys like o'brien carcone playing over him? He def has pretty much zero value at this point.

Without a hint of sarcasm or irony, there are like 5 teams that should be absolutely falling over themselves to get Rakell. Dude's gonna score close to 40 this season and he's decent away from the puck, and has term at a perfectly palatable cap hit for a guy who can play anywhere in your top 9.

It's why I kinda hope they trade Spence, to us, I feel like he's blocking Clarke and at this point Clarke outta be an everyday player, he has a higher upside and should be playing third pairing with moverare so they can develop some chemistry in a vintage letang/dump kinda pairing as they get more comfortable at the NHL level.
La won't break up Anderson/gavs (I don't blame them) and Edmondson/Doughty have been working and they won't split them up, and they won't play Clarke and Spence at the same time, so it's Spence or Clarke on any given night and they've been going more Spence so far this season.
