The rumors about Boeser are really tough to judge in my opinion because we don't really know what the baseline is.

Like, are team balking at a price tag of 1st + 2nd + prospect for Boeser @ 50% or are they balking at 2nd+4th prices?

Same with Rakell. What are "sky high prices" for him? 1st + 3rd? Or 1st + Clarke (from LA for example).

It would be nice if there was a "one offer for him is x, y, and z" to help us gauge what the market is. I imagine Bjorkstrand and Gourde are going for essentially a 1st each, that is the price tag for Rakell. Probably 1st plus decent prospect or young player + 2nd. The sky high is the addition of a 2nd or upgrading the pick to premium prospect.
From everything I've ever seen, heard or read from GMs and agents, they don't actually make concrete offers like that until everyone knows they're actually serious about making a trade. They only state generalities, because specifics haven't been offered yet.

Until a GM has decided that Rakell is definitely who they're after (as opposed to being, say, a backup option), they likely haven't made anything more concrete than "I might be willing to do a 1st round pick, a prospect, and maybe a mid-round pick, so long as you can take back some salary, either in the form of a roster player, or retention." And possibly not even that specific.

Man, ROR to the Devils would be absolutely wild. No idea how they really fit that but it's a great replacement for Hughes for the year.

Also this. He didn't pay the money he did to buy the team and relocate them to Utah to just continue losing.

They have some injuries right now, but their top-9 in their last game was:

Keller-Cooley-Schmaltz
Kerfoot-Hayton-Guenther
Crouse-McBain-Doan

I see a very obvious spot for Rakell to slide into in that top-6. Bump Kerfoot to L3 and make L2 Rakell-Hayton-Guenther.

Exactly, unlike when they were in Phoenix and had an internal cap and were just staying afloat Utah is willing to spend, had a decent young core that needs support, and what's to show their fans early on that they are will to make improvements before next year's season ticket packages go on sale.

And rackell would actually be great next to Cooley, I'd probably go Hayden Keller schmaltz and Cooley rackell guenther if it were me.

with the news of the Parayko injury, I wonder if this makes B. Schenn more likely to accept a trade. OR, if this makes L. Schenn to StL more likely.

Either way, I have a feeling Dubas will be involved.

I'd be very surprised to see Luke flipped, after what Dubas said. Not to mention his personal connection with him.
But I'd be all for it.
