na, the hawks look for Vlasic to be a part of the core, hence his extension 6 yrs 27 million. Kids a stud, he is staying for the early part of the hawks rebuild for sure.

my guess is that Binnington gets traded to a contender after his 4 nations cup showing, Hofer needs to play more. Would not suprise me to see Stan Bowman and Doug Armstrong make a deal.

Now ask yourself, why would a middle of the pack Red Wings team decimate their prospect pool? That’s what it would take for the Hawks to trade a 23 year old, shutdown, first pairing LHD.

When you look at the current Blackhawks roster there are two players you can comfortably say will be significant long term impact players for them and Vlasic is one of the two. So since you won’t accept it when people say he won’t be traded I will suggest the price tag for the Wings would be Danielson, Cossa or Augustine and an unprotected 1st round pick.

Now you can tell me that is crazy and we can move on.

Biggest need for Detroit is a top 4 LHD, preferably u30 with term.

Nearly every team listed is in the playoff mix, except the Hawks, and they don't have a player fitting that criteria.
