Everyone got traded. This year is different than other years as teams are jockeying for last place.

Guerin isn't willing to spend a 3rd on JVR? I find it hard to believe he doesn't think we need another goal scorer after watching this team since the break

Schmaltz is interesting. Great skillset for the Top 6 and you love that he is a RHS with speed. Assuming he hasn’t gotten better on the dot?

Some combination of Addison, Greenway, Hunt, ROR, Peart and a 2nd should be enough. If it’s Addison I imagine you need a depth D coming back for injury insurance.

I don't think you do. Keep Mermis up. Have Goli play in Addison's place. When Faber is done with college, have him slide in. If "you" believe he's ready for NHL time.

Doesnt matter what the wild do its a one and done team even with a hot goalie. We cant even run the score up on dismantled bottom feeder teams. Sell now and keep the picks.

What about Addison for Soucy?

Middleton - Spurgeon
Brodin - Dumba
Soucy - Goli/Merrill/Faber

I’d much rather move one of our 4 LD prospects if we’re bringing Soucy back. Given our limited RD depth, I think this team needs to keep Addison.

Honestly? I'd rather just keep Addison, and I like Soucy.
I’m not an Addison guy. Especially behind Spurgeon and if he’s going to want to get paid for all those PP assists like he isn’t a liability 5v5. I like that Soucy can play both sides and his size brings better balance to a blueline that leans small.

I don't think he's going to get paid for these just yet.

I like Soucy and am not a fan of Addison. I wouldn't touch it.

Soucy for a 4th + "b" prospect would be about the most I'd offer.

I'd also be fine sending Merrill or Goli their way for Soucy - just not sure why Seattle would do that.

I think Addison is gone by next fall. Faber is going to slide in to the 2RD spot with Dumba’s departure and I don’t think Addison will want to be just a PP specialist nor will we want to pay him $3M for that role.

I also think opposing teams would lick their chops at playing a blueline with at least 4 smaller puck-movers. One of the little guys is going to have to go and it’s not gonna be Spurgeon.

I would bet a good portion of money that Addison will NOT be getting a 3M/year contract.

Who are the 4 small defensemen? Spurgeon, Addison and....?

I don’t care for Addison much but have no interest in moving him for rentals who aren’t difference makers. To me if you move someone like that, you add pieces to him and go get a true upgrade somewhere. Something like a Chyrchrun player and contract.

I don’t think there should be a need to force the issue on an Addison trade. Certainly not for someone like Soucy who would be an upgrade on Merrill but not much else.

I think I'd be ok with the lack of depth, considering the upgrade in talent.

They had Mermis, Addison, and Goli all in the same game not too long ago. This is not anything close to something I want to see again.

I think Soucy is an upgrade, but not by much over Merrill or Goli. His game is the complete opposite of Addison's so it's a trade off in what skillset is wanted in the lineup.
