Volokhin and Bogdan?I think the two russians should be added to the list.
You're right...I probably could have added them. I feel like they are such an unknown commodity for the majority that they would probably get every vote.

How many people who actually watch Laval play are clamoring for a call up.I mean that's a bit insulting to Roy to be tagged with Mesar.
Addressing Hage… I love the kid but he’s become one of those players into whom fans project their fantasies. The fact of the matter is he’s an 18 year old who could end up being a stud or… not. And even if he does become a solid 2C, that’s not going to be for 4-5 years. If a legit present-day 2C costs Hage along with, say, picks and Mailloux, you gotta let him go.
No team is going to give up a top 50 center in the league for spare parts. Why would they? Then they are in the same brutal position that we’re in. The only scenario I can envision is a bottom-feeding, tanking-for-a-few-years team who has a quality 2C who doesn’t fit their window but hopes that Hage is their future 2C. Our window does not begin in 5 years (god willing).
This is by no means any evidence but I love this site, Hockey Prospecting, and thought I would give it a shout-out.
Yes. They're not going to be the main piece but as an extra piece to move a needle they could work.Volokhin and Bogdan?

I don't disagree that Roy is not trending super positively. However Roy is much closer to the NHL than Mesar and I'd argue Roy has been the better player at all levelsHow many people who actually watch Laval play are clamoring for a call up.
Both have been equally disappointing for different reasons.
Reinbacher, Demidov and Fowler are no trades for me. I’d be open to moving the rest.
Beck has the most value. A legit 2C would cost at least Beck, a warm body, and a 1st.
It depends what you mean by legit 2c. One in his prime around the same age as Suzuki sure. One over 30 years old Reinbacher should absolutely not be available for such player. We should not attempt to do Gomez for McDO 2.0. Gomez retired i was still young and McDo is still killing it.The only real untouchable in a trade for a legit 2C or legit top 4 RD is Demidov. Reinbacher and Fowler are close to being on that list, but I'm sure there are 2C and top 4 RD's I would trade them for.
It works trust me I saw Cyril Chauquet use the method on one of his shows and one of those fly in lakes are where it took place. Voracious bastards them amd the black flies.I've got a fly-in trip planned this spring. After a few beers, I for sure am trying the red licorice approach!
So you're saying there's a chance hereJust to put a smile on your faces this morning (and to illustrate that the HP guy Byron Bader has a system and is no Habs hater)… Though we all already know this is truth, it’s still fun to see, I think.

People didnt wanted to trade Poehling back in the day for Oreilly, it goes both way. As much as i like Hage, there’s nothing sure about him (injuries, tough time to adjust top pro game etc). + he’s probably 4 years away from away any impact in the NHL. If there’s a top6 center under 28-29yold available and u can get him for Hage + mid first rounder, you gotta pull the trigger.Good prospects are not spare parts. You reasoning was the same that was used in the Ribeiro, McDO and Sergachev trades. We need to be very cautious while trading good prospects. It needs to be for a good players in his prime. If the other teams have the "spare parts" reasoning then you simply hang the phone.

Not sure who those people were but anybody should have done that trade. Poehling was a lesser prospect than Hage by a good margin. The talks were Galchenyuk for ROR in 2015.People didnt wanted to trade Poehling back in the day for Oreilly, it goes both way. I agree with you...it would have to be a legit 2C in the same age range as our core. No interest in moving high end prospects for a player that is 5 plus years olderIt depends what you mean by legit 2c. One in his prime around the same age as Suzuki sure.
