Deals are Toronto biased, and make our left wing even worse. Poorly thought out imo.

Ritchie trade would be dope if possible.

I don't think we should trade Johnsson right now though.

He's production is around 21:00 the season (he gets 1 point per 21 mins of ice-time).

If he was getting 18 minutes of ice-time he'd be on pace for 70 points.

I know that production isn't always linear with ice time .... but I imagine his point totals would also benefit from playing with Marner / Tavares / Matthews / Nylander instead of Gauthier / Brown .... so I could see him getting around 70 in a top-6 role.

If we can get him signed for $2 million or less for a couple years .... I wouldn't trade.

Did you just make a trade proposal thread without making a trade proposal?

I do think that we should avoid rentals & instead go after:

Nick Ritchie | LW
($1,500,000 x 3 years)
Scott Mayfield | RD ($1,450,000 x 5 years)

Why would the islanders want to trade Mayfield?

Why would the islanders want to trade Mayfield?

Because they'll get something they want more than Mayfield ... or they won't trade him.

You can give that response to a dumb trade proposal.
Not someone saying they want to "target" a player.

Why would Edmonton want to trade Gretzky?

LOL, did I hit a nerve? Some players simply aren't targetable, either.

I propose no proposals. They are all one sided and silly. I have faith in Dubas and look forward to the next few weeks,

Zaitsev [email protected] Rasanen
For
McGinn Pysyk

Cap hit is equal this year.
McGinn us coming off two down years, but is still a capable 4th liner making 3.33m
Pysyk replaces Zaitsev on the 2nd pair. He is an average #4 which would be a decent improvement at only 2.7m next year.
Rasanen might end up being something, but right now he is a recent 2nd round RHD who we can spare.
If they need forwards instead, maybe Korshokov?
