Is this source BS?

Apparently, Wild are interested in Tippett and Flyers want a hockey trade for him. The article speculates Brodin for Tippett 🤔

Specifically it talks about Brodin+Stramel for Tippett.

I have a tough time valuing Brodin honestly, but I'm not sure Stramel is going to be part of a Tippett deal. Seems like we need to keep Stramel unless it's for a center.

Somehow I missed that part when I skimmed the article. Yeah, definitely agree that giving up Stramel in addition to Brodin would be too much. I want to see how Stramel develops unless he's dealt for a no brainer upgrade. Tippett's not that level of player for me, though I like him a lot. Would you do Brodin + Hartman for Tippett? Is that too much? It'd be nice to see what Kaprizov could do with more of a pure shooter on his wing, instead of Passarello... Think he'd be a good fit on the PP too.

John Carlson could be a short term replacement for Spurgeon, maybe? Honestly have no clue how good he is these days, but the production is still there. Trade Spurgeon for younger pieces, sign Carlson for 1-2 years, maybe?

I like Hartman a lot, so I'd sooner just keep him. I think he has great value on the third line. But Brodin+another piece for Tippett, maybe? I like Tippett as a target for sure.

Best non-addressing center + fairly plausible + no major trade summer I can think of:

Extend Hughes (obviously)
Middleton out, Hunt in
Foligno out, Haight in
P. Kane ~$4.5M
Marchment ~$7.5M
Brink ~$3M
Hunt QO
Spacek QO

Kaprizov - Yurov - Kane
Marchment - Ek - Boldy
Brink - McCarron - Hartman
Trenin - Sturm - Haight
Whoever

Hughes - Faber
Hunt - Spurgeon
Brodin - Spacek
Whoever

Wall/Gus

~$1M in cap space

Not as sexy as Larkin or Matthews but Anders Lee could be a decent fit with Kaprizov if they have a mobile C (Yurov) between them.
Kaprizov needs someone slick to play with. That's not Lee. He's a beast in front of the net - sorta like a bigger, slower JEE.

Lee would be a good third liner on this team if we got rid of one of the 5 overpaid 4th liners. Don't want Lee anywhere near Kaprizov.

Sounded like he wanted to go back to the East

I don’t see Guerin ever trading Foligno, but roster still works if you trade Trenin instead.
