I think you will be surprised by Brazeau . Not sure why a couple of months ago he was banished to the 4th line and wasn’t the same player he had been. He has good hockey sense , he can play on a power play and stand in front of the net . His skating holds him back but he can make smart intelligent plays .
He has single handedly outscored the two guys he was traded for.
Lauko has been injured. Khus is in his first year and should be in the AHL. We bought very high on Brazeau who is an UFA and sold low on Khus. At best Khus should have been in a package.
Yet another failed second round pick by the Wild.
We just don't have a ton of speed and might have traded away our two fastest players. Hope it works out.
Piss missile hasn't done anything all year. I think it's early to give up on him but I'm not gonna cry about it

All in all and regardless of who was traded, this literally feels like Guerin just...making a trade, to make a trade. Weird and purposeless.
Hopefully, but do we trust him with a bigger trade? I'm having nightmares of him moving Rossi for Nelson. Or moving important pieces for Nelson when he can wait till summer.
Yeah. I am concerned that he's obsessed with American players with size. And then Nelson won't resign with Minnesota.

I don’t think BG would trade Rossi for Nelson. That would be stupid. I will say however that I’ve wondered about Rossi in a deal for Cozens. First of all, it would take KK97 going on LTIR until the playoffs started to happen, so it would be extremely unlikely, but I don’t think it is out of the realm of possibility. Buffalo would want more than Rossi given that Cozens is locked up for 3 more years, but I wonder if Rossi and Ohgren could get it done, would BG do it? Admittedly, I think it is a deal that might work better in the off season, as it would be risky to trade what is basically your best scorer since KK’ been hurt, and move him. But if they don’t want to give Rossi $8M or more in a deal, I actually think I’d explore this move.

What are your projections for all of those guys? If they give Rossi term at like 8 probably not? But I don’t think they would go there. I’m under the impression if he wants terms it’s the Boldy number. Otherwise they’ll trade / bridge him.
I don’t mind the trade at all. Marat and Lauko were nothing players. Brazeau is probably a nothing player as well, but maybe he’s a bottom 6er who can score ~30 and bring size / physicality. We’re a little team.
Score 30 goals? He's 27 years old. I think he developed all he can develop.
Holy shit. He has not scored a goal in two months and only has 2 points since then. And is a -3...

If it's $20M total for the 3 of them, that's ~$2.4M over the cap.
Rossi and Boeser at $7.5M each, Nelson at $5M. All seem pretty optimistic.

Maybe the Wild just need to put him in a position to succeed. You know, not give up on him.
